A Simple Way of Getting More Done
Hi All,
I am now four months into my account here at WA, and man has it been a trip! I've learned so much, and am grateful for the community here that has been so helpful.
As I've continued in my learning process I'm starting to realize a few things.
- There are some things I am just not good at.
- There are some things I want to do, but know it will take a long time to do them (read: they don't get done).
- These are the things that are holding me back from leapfrogging into massive success.
Let me give you an example. I am terrible with design stuff. If you look at my website, it's pretty plain. If it weren't for some pretty cool advertisements on them, it would be pretty boring. I need to add more design. Even more specifically, a cool logo.
Enter my dilemma.
I want a cool logo. I know this will make my website more of an authority. But I'm a) not good at design, and b) don't want to spend the time learning how to do this.
So, I have found a pretty cool solution to my dilemma…outsourcing.
I first really started to take a hold of this concept after reading The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. Outsource the things you're not good at, or that bog down your time, so you can focus on the things you are good at.
I have found a great place for outsourcing projects to: Elance. Elance is a play off of the word freelance. The site hosts a plethora of freelancers who are significantly more able to perform certain tasks than I am. With Elance you can find a marketing and design person to create cool logos for you. Or you can find writers to create content for your site (another thing I hate doing).
This idea has revolutionized my thinking. I'm no longer going to worry about the things I'm not good at. i can find good help for those things.
I'm only going to focus on the things that I am good at. And use that to give me more freedom.
For example, one of my friends has outsourced all of her social media management. She hates the daily posts, and constant "tweeting" addiction. So, she has somebody else do it for her.
Do you know what she's been able to accomplish since she started doing this?
1) She created a re-running webinar on her website that now draws in almost $2,000 a month.
2) She's now creating her own products for her site.
3) She's now co-authoring a book with a very well known financial guru.
It's a simple idea, yes, but it creates so many possibilities. It allows you to focus on more strategic ideas for advancing your business to the next level.
Use the concept of outsourcing to your advantage. Save yourself the time and headache and get those action items accomplished.
The best part is that having an expert do it for you creates a better brand experience for your users. And better brand experience equals better earnings for you.
Hit me up with questions. Otherwise, free up your time so you can make more money!

Great! They're currently working on my logo, which is going to add a ton of value to my brand.
