Wasting Time.
How Much Time Is Being Wasted Here?
Since first joining WA I have thought there is way too much noise and distraction here to effectively work.
What I mean is I come here only to work on my websites. But then I see many posts and / or questions
Some of them catch my attention so I then spend time reading them. And sometimes I spend time replying to the blogs or questions. And have even spent time writing some blogs of my own.
This all adds up to a fair amount of completely wasted time (i.e. time spent doing something other than working on my online business).
How about you?
Simple Solution... Not Sure Why I Hadn't Thought Of It Before!
There is a simple solution to this.
Just bookmark the wp-admin login url for each website and store the password some place safe.
Do the same for the email accounts for each website.
Now, we can go directly to the WordPress account and get to work. Same for email. Go directly there, login check mail and be done with it.

I will be doing all of this bookmarking tonight and then my hope is to stay away from here for the most part. Only so I can FOCUS on what is important. Getting stuff DONE!

Google whenever I search, thousands of items appear.
Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp in which I am also notified endlessly and get distracted as well.
The solution is within us. You rightfully pointed out a way we can management information here at WA through DISCERNMENT.
True. The difference is when you go to Google and search... of course... you expect and WANT to see results appear.
That is completely different then logging into your email and seeing a bunch of spam messages coming in.
I enjoy reading the blogs here. And have nothing against any of the people here. I am just not here for the social aspects AT ALL.
For the most part I do a decent job of ignoring all of this other stuff. But when it comes to building a business to me that is something that requires FOCUS. I want to have blinders on and only see what is actually most important for me to see at that point of time.
Anyway... it's all good. I created two simple web pages on my computer that have links to my websites and email accounts.
And I managed to write one article for a website too.
Now... I can FOCUS. And again I am not saying I will NEVER come back here.
Yes, our behavior is different when using different platforms. Agree that we need to focus to get progress.

Part of being here at WA is to get feedback, help, advice and motivation etc. So I think being away from it, you will maybe not be able to benefit from all that WA has to offer.
But I do understand your concerns about being distracted by everything going on here.
I use WA both for my work and to try to help others with their work and for all the positivity and motivation.
Please don't underestimate the power of all that.

I agree with you, Louise. the funny part is that there is nowhere that i know where you can only work and NOT get distracted. I've been successful in my business because I can balance those out. Sometimes the 'distractions' can also lead to another job, or opportunity, or dare I say for some, possibly even a niche. As the saying goes....all work and no play makes______a dull boy/ girl! Just my thoughts!

I understand what you are saying and, of course, I will need to return here when I run into some issue that I need to contact Support about.
But the other stuff... feedback, help, advice and motivation I am not looking for.
I mean I mainly came here just because the hosting was a great deal. I was used to spending much more per website at HostGator and Yahoo Small Business (Which changed to Aabaco a few years or so ago) for hosting.
I already have a ton of motivation. Already know what I need to be doing.
Not by any means saying I know everything. lol
I just mean I have my plan and I like to keep things simple. This stuff is pretty straightforward the way I see it.
Anyway, right now I need to focus on building my online business. The most important thing is to fill them with quality content. Which means writing and writing and writing. Makes no sense to be writing here when I could be writing for my websites.
Appreciate the reply and I do get what you are saying. There is a lot of great stuff here. There is also a lot of distraction like that bell in the upper right corner. ha ha :)
