3 Month Anniversary Coming Up & Things Are Really Getting Rolling!
Tomorrow marks my 3 month anniversary at Wealthy Affiliate and of my first website blog and I wanted to make a note of the progress I've made since I started here.
I started here with zero experience blogging, using Wordpress, affiliate marketing, building a website. I knew what Wordpress was but I'd never seen it and definitely never used it. I had no idea what affiliate marketing was and all I knew about building a website was that it was hard and something I could never do!
Now, 3 months later, I feel very comfortable with Wordpress, affiliate marketing, blogging, and building out a website! It's hard to believe that in less time than it takes to finish a college semester I've created more than 30 posts on multiple websites and using what I've learned at Wealthy Affiliate I am getting more and more traffic every week!
My rankings in Google are improving and I'm making sales through several affiliate programs!
The most exciting part to me is seeing my traffic go up. My websites have fairly low bounce rates and people are staying on my website for a good amount of time and navigating through to other pages.
To me, that says the training here at Wealthy Affiliate works! If you follow the training step by step and use the ideas in the training, you really can have a successful blog that is helpful to other people!
I'm getting much better at writing content and have recently gone back and edited several of my posts to reflect the message I want to give my users. I truly want to help and am not just looking for any way to make a sale!
Without Wealthy Affiliate I know I never would have gotten to this point, especially in such a short amount of time! The collection of resources that can be found here would take months worth of research outside of Wealthy Affiliate to find and use and you're also in danger of finding bad resources which can tank any chance of making money!
If any of you are still struggling, be patient and just stick to the training! It does work, but it does take time!
I can't thank Kyle, Carson, and everyone else who has helped me along the way enough for creating such an amazing resource and I'm very excited for what the future has to bring!

Congratulations!! I will begin my 6th month at WA on March 6th and have only worked on my site(s) for a couple of hours a week since beginning here, but I AM in the habit now of checking my emails and reading new posts by others (just like I am doing now to THIS post!) and am hearing and reading what others are saying and what THEY are learning and struggling with and are being successful at, which is keeping my ranking still in the low 300s....but I DO want to tell you again congratulations to your accomplishments in only 3 months, which lets ME know that KEEPING A POSITIVE OUTLOOK as I KEEP MOVING FORWARD will help me ACHIEVE what I want to achieve in 2016!! Yay YOU and eventually I will also get to say YAY ME !!!
Thank you! I know it's very hard to find time to work on it with a full time job. Once you get through the training it's so much nicer! My focus now is just updating my site with quality content!
One tip I might have for you if you want to work on your website is to turn off other distractions. Come to Wealthy Affiliate with the purpose of moving forward on your website.
Go at it as best you can, then when you need a break come back and just catch up with everyone. I had several weeks where I stopped messaging and talking to anyone here and solely focused on getting through the training.
It was hard but I'm done! :)
And I think we can already say Yay You! You're here and you have access to the best resources you could ever ask for to learn how to build a website :D As well as access to all the great entrepreneurs here!

Great to hear about how well things seem to have been going in your first 3 months. :) The other day marked my first month here and I agree with you 100% on following the training to a "T". It is exciting to see that it works! You reach many low points where you wonder if it's worth it but just keep moving forward! I'm excited to hear about your successes in the future as well!

How many hours a day / week did you work on your site before you started making any sales or getting any traffic??
My first month and a half I spent about 30 hours a week on top of a 40 hour work week. But, I got through the training and got my website built out the way I wanted it and now I'm down to about 10-12 hours a week. Sometimes it's more but not very often.
My traffic has been growing steadily for about a month now. It's been gradual but before I was lucky to get more than 10 visits a day! I can see that it really does just take time before search engines trust your website.
I'd keep working at it and just following the instructions in the training :) They really are the best out there!
