Google Page Ranking Check

Are you looking for a quick and easy way to do a Google page ranking check? If so I think I've just found a new super method.

It's not quite as quick as using Jaaxy which, of course, as a member of Wealthy Affiliate you get included anyway - so use that first.

Add Chrome Extension Ginfinity

You need to use the Chrome browser for this.

Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ginfinity/dgomfdmd...

And download the Ginfinity extension. Basically, just click Add to Chrome.

Now next time you do a search in Google you won't have to click on the next page you just carry on scrolling down. I think this is quite useful in itself.

Do a google search for your keyword

It is very easy to just keep scrolling down but after three or four pages I still got a bit bored.

So I decided I needed to think of some way to search the results and I wondered whether my usual way of searching for words in text would work.

Ctrl+F and add a word from your Meta Description

So I went back to basics hold down ctrl and f decided to choose a word from my first paragraph. I chose the word video as I hoped that wouldn't crop up too many times. I kept scrolling and checking when the word video was flagged up.

Wow- success - there it was on page 8 of Google!

I'm really pleased because this is a page that I haven't really finished and I keep meaning to go back to it However, I keep getting distracted with other things but now I know it is really worthwhile returning to it.

I then decided to take another page and do exactly the same thing. This time the word validating as my word to find. It didn't come at all anywhere in the first 22 pages!

I wondered whether choosing a word from the meta description would make any difference.

It did! My page came up on page 20. Ok, so that's not a brilliant result, as this page is finished.

However, this isn't such an old post so maybe it will gain traction over time and I'm sure there are things that I can improve on the page.

Choosing what to work on next.

Looking at these two sets of results however it's very obvious to me that the first page is the one that needs my attention first.

I found this exercise highly motivating. Obviously, I knew these pages were ranked in Google which was a great start but I just didn't know how well they were doing. I mean were they on page 3, 400 or 60000? Who knew? I certainly didn't! Well, I had a bit of a clue because one of these page titles was getting impressions in Google Search Console and the other one wasn't!
