Looking Back
When I sat down to review and remember all that has gone on in the past few months, I am actually amazed at how much I've learned! I have actually written a website-it's not posted online yet-there are a few more things I have to do to get it ready. So back to school I go for more lessons. I really want to thank everyone for helping me. There was never a time when I felt intimidated or alone.
And I've also learned to share my "expertise" : ) to others. At first I was afraid to contribute at all fearing that I would be ridiculed for having the wrong answer. But I wasn't. I'm getting braver about reaching out and asking questions. I think I have about 17 questions a day. I don't think this program was designed for someone as computer Illiterate as I am. This morning I posted my question again of what to do with my website. Someone did answer me, and he gave what sounded like an intelligent answer, and I would like to do what he said, but I have no idea of what he meant. So if you're still around, can you explain again?
My final thought. What is a tag, and what are they for?

Tags are helpful to others for finding information contained in your articles. There are however different types of tags such as content tags and meta tags.
A content tag is kind of like a keyword; the difference is keywords are used within titles and content so that places like Google can pick up your articles to be searched on Google and content tags are usually used within a websites search function.
I'm not sure Wealthy Affiliate uses tag words in this way but for example the search box at the top of Wealthy Affiliate could theoretically be used to pull up all articles, discussion etc. that contain that tag word across all of Wealthy Affiliate content (including all members content).
So to sum that up---You write a blog entry on Wealthy Affiliate about "checklist," you add "checklist" as a tag when publishing it, someone then goes to the search box at the top of Wealthy Affiliate and searches the word "checklist," your article should come up as one of the results to choose from.
Meta tags are a little different-you shouldn't worry about those yet-other than what Kyle tells you to do in the training-those would be within the description html-the seo plugin Kyle has us activate when setting up our first website achieves the meta information that would otherwise be hard to do without knowing html.
Update: And one other thing about tags of any kind: like keywords/articles they do take time to be found and picked up (indexed) by the search engines whether an internal one or external one.
Well done on facing your fears with reference tags that are just keywords really when I publish a post I put the tags in which are the relevant keyword for the post the tag box is on the right hand side of the post or page in WordPress

When you ask questions, you're not the only one benefitting from the answers but you're also helping many others who don't yet have the courage to ask.
