To everyone following my recovery process so far, this week every day had appointments to go to and I am exhausted and tired.

Some of my blood work came back, my white blood cells are extremely high, and have some kind of virus in my stomach that has to be treated with antibiotics twice a day for two weeks straight. After two weeks if I still cannot eat and hurt, more tests will be done.

WOW, Janette, Sorry to hear you are in the hospital. I must have missed your last posting. What Al said below is very correct about the probiotics. Antibiotics kill not only the bad bacteria they kill the good bacteria also. And the best way I have found to replace them is with Greek Yogurt.

You are in my prayers

It felt wrong to like this post, Jannette. I'm so sorry you're hurting.

As you probably know, when white blood cells increase, it's an immune response. Your body is working hard to heal itself.

It must be a bacterial infection if you're being prescribed antibiotics, as antibiotics have zero affect on viruses.

Consider asking your health professional about probiotics, to counter the negative effects of antibiotics. They kill the friendly bacteria in your small intestine and stomach, which can lead to food not digesting and producing the symptoms you're experiencing.

I'm not trying to diagnose. Just asking you to look a little deeper.

Good luck on getting tried full health back and thriving soon!

Al

Yes, I have asked about Probiotics as their natural way and antibiotics keep you from being able to fight off infections naturally. I am in the process of switching doctors as well, as told my current one 3 years ago about my issues and they did nothing. This infection came after eating out in California, the doctor said was a stomach virus going around not to worry. Now 3 years later, they worried had the infection too long and now got check for cancer they say. I know I should have switched already, but hate switching doctors. All the money I paid them; they should have done a better job.

Hang in there, Jannette! Thanks for the update!

Jeff

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Yikes, no fun! Best wishes with it all!
