Astral projection is amazing!
I had yet another astral projection last night. My mind awoke to this very very intense vibration through out my whole entire body. It almost felt like a buzzing. It was not only intense through the feeling of it, but also intense through the sound.
I could feel my etheric body trying to separate from my physical body, but it was having a hard time. I always have a hard time separating when in this stage. There are times where I become conscious after this point I believe, and all of a sudden I am floating above my body looking down in wonder. I've even noticed a bright golden aura around my etheric body floating above where my body lies.
I was finally able to relax the muscles in my face as I realized they were tensing up. I completely surrendered to the experience and let the buzzing and vibration completely take over. And before I knew it I was had my etheric arms out of my physical body. I could feel something pulling me. They grabbed my hand. "Who's they?" you say? "They," would be my spirit guide, Asherah, I believe. Maybe more than just her.
Then suddenly I felt my etheric head separate from my physical body. I went upwards automatically. At that very point I could see separate from my body's point of view. I was in my body before and now I was viewing what seemed like the next dimension, the 4th dimension. There is a bit of darkness that I'm seeing.
I could see through a pair of eyes that were a part of my etheric body. What I saw is very hard to describe. It seemed like my eyes were open but I knew my physical eyes were closed. It was almost as if I could see in all directions at once, but I only perceived to have been able to process it through a forward vision. I think this is why it's hard to describe.
I traveled through what felt like thoughts, thoughts that were not my own. A sea of thought forms. Then the memory of my projection is very dim. Next thing I knew, I thought of my physical body, and suddenly I was sucked back into my body. Well I certainly didn't mean to do that. So I tried to get out of my physical body again. Then I was pulled into my dreams dreaming vividly.

My wife tells me of her astral travels at night... you have described what she tells me exactly. She tells me she has only travelled around the house until the other night when she says she was grabbed by a guide who taught her to fly outside to places she has not been to before. Fascinating stuff - I wish i could do it.
Oh wow. Very cool. It is very fascinating. Some people can and some can't I guess. I'm sure there's a way you could learn however :)
I have tried many times to go into it consciously but it is very hard for me to maintain the relaxation phase. I usually get so excited that I tense up. That's something I have to work on :)
I actually started to do it without even realizing what I was doing. I would suddenly become conscious after I had entered the 4th dimension or maybe even when I was returning back to my body from dreaming. It really scared me at first, but after doing lots of research on the matter I realized there's really nothing to be scared of. I would suggest for you to learn how to lucid dream. Lucid dreaming can be a gateway to astral projection. I'm gonna do a post on my website soon. I'll come back and link it when I'm finished with it.

I know its been over 2 years since you wrote this post, but I have been at WA for just 2 months and happened to see your post today.
I think your post is very interesting :)
I have been trying to acheive astral projection and have always reached the vibration phase, but struggled most of the times after that - either I feel breathless or the experience ends right there. Once or twice, I did feel myself floating after the vibration phase, but I'm not sure whether that was real or just my imagination because my eyes were closed. I will keep trying :)
Could you provide me with some more tips? Thank you :)
