After 4 months
Hello All! I've been here over 4 months now, 4 months on my website. My traffic was up to 400 a month, and now just took a deep dive. I've probably made around $12. I have 35 post right now, still have more that are scheduled. This is supposed to be the highest season, but seems to be the lowest for me. Hopefully it will take a run soon. Persistence and Patience is needed here.

Persistence and Patience are relevant to all aspects of life! As a population, we tend to crave instant gratification, and unfortunately, that is not always the case.

I've been there, and I'm certain others have as well. And those that haven't, will at some point get there. I know what it's like, and I've talked to friends who feel the same... thought we'd be retired a long time ago, lol.
It's just steady progress. When I was getting a hundred visitors a day Kyle told me it's a lot easier to go from 100 to 500 than it is 0 -100... and so far that's been true, but it's still content, keyword research, content, keyword research, content, keyword re.... you get the idea.
I've built 2 websites (well, several... but major effort into 2 and shut one down for reasons I won't go into) and my experience is 6 months seems to be a sweet spot for Google. My goal is 2000 visitors per day and having come this far there should be no reason that doesn't happen...
But somewhere along the way I realized (and this was the point I was trying to get to :-) "You can't fail! All you can do is quit"
So don't quit and you won't fail.
Not sure if that helps... but it's kept me going many times.

You might also consider this:
If what you are trying to do isn't working, it doesn't mean that what you are trying to do doesn't work. All it means is that your APPROACH isn't working.
It means that you must invest more time into learning the business and applying all of the principles that create a successful online business so the YOU can create a more successful business.
One more point to ponder . . . this business takes a minimum of 6 months to a year of serious effort (8 - 10 hrs a day) to start receiving a decent steady income. And then it takes a daily devotion to maintain the income.
Be happy that what you are doing has already shown some limited success, evaluate your business to determine what you are doing right and wrong, make the modifications necessary to earn more and be happy.
In other words . . . keep doing what you are doing . . . do it more< and do it better>
