Question on WA Keyword lists

I know, I know! Shame on me for not having published a website yet. But as a "Newbie" who's learned to swim here, I'm just not ready to go over to the deep end of the pool yet. Would one of the good & esteemed professors here please tell me the exact meaning of the numbers in the columns of the Keyword list and what the columns signify. While a few are obvious to me, I think this might help others, as well. Please don't shake your head Kyle; I know you covered this in some of the training I already did but I thought this quick post might help others as well. I have learned many new things from the blogs here. One being, there's more than one way to skin the "fish".

Keyword----------- Searches-------- Traffic----- Competition---- Article Power---- PPC Power------ Dig
XXXXX---------------- 527936 ------------8970------- View Result---------- 6.2------------------ 7---------------Dig
XXX XX------------------ 16------------------- 3--------- View Result----------- 10----------------- 9.5------------- Dig
Based on these numbers, would you go for it?
I noticed the second row had few searches, yet what I think is high article power; any comments on that?

Thanks Labman. That link to Megastudios post cut right to the chase. Much appreciated

Magistudios; aka, Jay?

Yes

Would you mind answering my last two questions at the bottom of my post?

Based on the information shown(I would want to see the view results) I would think that the first term probably has too much competition (should be less than 400, 300 is better) The second term probably has to few searches to be useful.

You mean 300-400K of searches is a more ideal range for searches?

300-400 Competing pages

Got it. Thanks Labman.
