Published My First Article + Why Typing Speed Is Important
I just published my first real, full length post! Got it to 1700 words no problem. Pretty pleased with how comfortable it feels to write posts of that length. I've been a part of a few forums over the years and started my own YouTube channel 4 years ago. So, I have had a lot of practice typing, writing posts, answering comments and all of that. One thing I can tell you, being able to type well makes all the difference. Typing really changed my life since my hand writing is not very good. After about 4 years of practice, I can now type 60 words per minute, and let me tell you, it has given this introvert new life! It has allowed me to put thoughts into writing almost as fast as I can think them which allows me to flow so much better in my writing, and to be infinitely more comfortable with it. This keeps me relaxed and helps me to write better content, and to not get frustrated near as easily. I now have a large presence online, that I would have never achieved through other means, largely because I can type well and quickly. I highly encourage anybody who is going through this program to work on your typing skills. It makes everything so much easier and more fun!

I just went back and looked at it again. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I can't think of a good comment to add to the post because I really don't know what I would do with a throwing spike. It just sounds like a cool thing to make.
Maybe some of my hunter friends or survivalist friends might like to know how to make those. Do you throw them at zombies? Are they something that a hiker/photographer might want to use if they are on foot in bear country or would they be too heavy to carry around? Is there some sort of competition that people participate in and throw these things?
So.... maybe in the introduction of the post, you could add a little something that would make people want to be able to make their own. Your audience may know what they are but do they know why they want to make their own?
