Static Vs Blog Post

I know some people say, you have to get the homepage post as the static page, but you know what, when you have All In ONE SEO, it is automatically use whatever your meta title and discription you put in and google will be able to find you based on the information in ALL in ONE SEO.

That means it is not following you using your static or blog post. In case if you are wondering what I am talking about, the reason some people say it is better to use static page as homepage is because, google will be able to find your homepage better because the information remain same compare to blog post home page as the content keep changing when your new post was updated.

But if you go to ALL in ONE SEO, you can disable using static page option, Go to All In One SEO, general setting, under the homepage setting, you can disable the "use static front page instead".

With this your ALL in ONE SEO will take over the meta title and description for google to detect.

You can download the SEO META in 1 click into your chrome to check this, it's free.

I personally prefer the look of the blog post instead of the static homepage, because it looks plain. With blog post, everytime there is new post, the homepage look fresh.

Hope it helps.

I prefer the static page. I wasn't sure why the blog roll was default. Thanks for sharing.

Always checking you out Jonlyf. You are okay.

I have two websites. The first one has a static home page. In the second I treat the Home Page as a Blog Roll.

I used a menu system to direct visitors to pages that fall within different categories.

All the best to you.

In some cases, it also depends on the theme that is being used. Thanks for sharing this. Appreciate the info!
