What Do You Think of the New Twitter?
It seems that out of nowhere, and we haven't seen it written about very much, Twitter have decided to update their look. It seems that about July 15th they changed over to the new look on Desktops.
Our first impression?
Hate it!
Why do the tabs down the left hand side need to be so big?
The main reason for being there, the feed in the middle, now seems to be the smallest part!
The cover image is also now less prominent and any text on it is harder to read. This means that calls to action on them will not be so useful I guess.
I appreciate we are all different, so what are your thoughts?
Look forward to hearing them.

I haven't seen it yet. Gotta go over and check it out but based on your screenshot, I'm liking it.
It is okay, but I still prefer the old Twitter. The only plus is if you have more than 1 Twitter account you can now easily switch between them without logging in and out. I have linked my Twitter accounts and only use the new one when I want to switch to another.
WARNING!!!! Just checked my Twitter account now and I cannot switch back to the old Twitter. I am not sure if it is because I linked my other accounts.
I was able to switch back yesterday. Weird???
I must still have the old Twitter as i can’t see the changes you described. Maybe when it gets an update I’ll notice it.
Dire!
They've just shuffled windows about which you can't resize or customise. Agree about the menus.
They probably paid millions to some arty-farty user interface design guru.
Anyone in the UK remember the Royal Mail name change fiasco? Such was the ouitrage they had to change it back!
Looks like someone at Twitter had too much money to spedn and was trying to justiofy their job.
Yeuck!

#twitterdesign is trending and seems like EVERYONE hates the new design including me!
Thanks for sharing!

I found one twitter user who liked it. Everyone else dislikes it a lot.
Oh well, I have only been working on my websites so whenever in the future I get back to using Soc Media... who knows what Twitter will be like then.
That's the hardest part are the things outside of our control. :-)

Okay I haven't yet seen it, but after reading a very very insightful article today all about it, the change doesn't surprise me
Twitter is by definition a micro blogging platform, so this look in keeping with what you have written, and looking at your image is one I like.
Thanks for commenting Dave. I am sure I will get used to it, but at the moment my jury is out!
