Hi to my WA community.

I hope everyone is well and working toward your dreams and goals. I wish you all the best.

It seems like the “comments section” of WA has taken a beating the past few weeks. You can feel a sense of frustration among some members.

It feels like some are just using the current format for commenting to accumulate credits or just get paid. There is nothing wrong with that.

Let’s be honest here. We all want to succeed at our internet endeavors. And WA is the vehicle we have chosen to get us to the pot of gold at the end of our rainbow.

Also, I am sure most of us are very time restricted. Until our websites started supporting us financially, a lot of us are working full-time jobs. We feel we don’t have time to write well thought out comments. We need to rethink that notion.

Plus, we all have family duties and responsibilities. We can’t spend all our time working on building a good quality website or making comments. I wish we could.

I am tired of working for someone else. I want to work for God and my family. Can I get an “AMEN” to that?

Back to my thoughts about the comment issue.

When I request comments, I don’t mind if the reader just gives me a one or two sentence reply. I appreciate the time and effort and I will respond. Sometimes my replies are longer than the comments.

I love it when readers ask questions or share personal experiences in their lives. I want to engage with that person, and not just type out a few choice words for just a credit.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I need and want those credits. They are useful tools.

A good writer (even with just comments) must offer a part of themselves on the pages of their written words.

I notice a lot of the writings on the internet are short, blocky, and cold. There isn’t much personality with the words.

I really don’t like that kind of writing. I want an engagement with people not a sequence of cold calculated phrases or words.

One of the reasons I ask questions on offering comments is I want to get to know that person a little better.

Also, I want to learn more about the subject of the post.

I know Kyle and Carson and the whole team here at WA are working on getting the kinks out of the comment section.

But until all that happens, let’s just be considerate and kind to each other. Let’s treat each other as we want to be treated. We are all in this together.

One last point, writing good quality comments makes you a good quality writer.

Thank you for your time as you read this post. I hope and pray it helps.

johnny, the Grey Wolf.
