Chapter 1 Beginning of time.
Was there time before the big bang? yes of course there; was just because there was nobody there to record its passing does not mean that it did not exist.
I have never heard anybody or read anything that contradicts this statement and on the contrary I once read a book that gave a quite plausible explanation as to how the big bang occurred.
I do not remember the full details but it was something about a computer that was built to control the climatic conditions that unfortunately was showing signs of not being able to control the temperature.
The Citizens were feeling the cold and there was general unrest as a result, a team of scientists were given the task of trying to adjust the computer so that it put the temperature back within the desired limits.
The problem was, they had only had a limited number of preprogramed control card's, one of which was supposed to increase the temperature by 1°, having inserted this card several times it was apparent that it just was not working.
After much discussion, they concluded the only thing they could do was to allow one of the scientists, who claimed to know what the symbols on the cards meant, to reprogram a card, in an attempt to increase the temperature.
I remember his comment as he inserted the modified card.
"If this goes wrong they will still be talking about the big bang for millions of years"
We seem to have accepted the evidence that the big bang did occur, what I do not understand is given our ability to examine the universe and the directions that various elements are travelling in, why is it not possible to extrapolate this information to determine the point in space where they all started from.
There may not be anything, there, but nevertheless it is certainly worth looking, it may just uncover another mystery and to be honest, there are plenty of those about, quantum mechanics still cannot work out the riddle of the entangled particles with their remote influences.
Chinese scientists have just established that this effect is still evident when one of the entangled particles is put into space.

An interesting point 3 dimensions are space. 4 dimensions are considered time. 5 dimensions are all the alternate possibilities of time. They cant be measured directly but imagined instead.
I think that's why Rod Serling called the Twilight Zone the dimension of imagination!
