Flex For Families – Bootcamp Update (Week 2)
Hey everyone,
Here’s my second update on the Bootcamp journey, and things are starting to move along really well.
This past week I’ve:
- Been posting a new blog post every single day, which is helping me build momentum and consistency.
- Updated my Wealthy Affiliate review (it definitely needed polishing!) and I’m much happier with how it reads now.
- Shared all my new content across my social media accounts to start building some visibility.
- Set up an X account to expand my reach and connect with more people.
- Created a YouTube channel. For now, I’m planning on keeping it “faceless” to save time, but I’ll eventually add videos with me in them once I get comfortable.
What’s really exciting is that I’m already starting to see some organic searches showing up—and even a few rankings in the search engines. It might not sound like much, but it’s a huge motivation boost to know the site is getting indexed and moving in the right direction.
On the design side, I experimented with a few different themes, but in the end, I went with Blocksy. I completely agree with Kyle and other members—it’s packed with great features, and once you get your head around it, it’s really enjoyable to use.
Next Week’s Goals
Looking ahead, here’s what I’ll be focusing on:
- Keeping up the streak of posting daily blog content.
- Drafting some scripts/outlines for my first YouTube videos.
- Continuing to share content across social media to grow brand awareness.
- Starting to track keyword rankings more closely so I can measure early SEO progress.
Overall, it’s been another solid week. The consistency is paying off, and I feel like the pieces are starting to come together.
Hope everyone else is making great progress on their Bootcamp sites too—I’m looking forward to seeing what others can achieve!

Hey John,
You have a brilliant plan going for you. We have several YouTube channels, most of which are faceless channels. There is no need to put yourself on camera at all. Long as you provide helpful quality content.
Thanks Hein,
Appreciate your input. I've done one video so far with Syllaby. It does a good job and feels it adds value. I agree that it is the more important factor for a viewer.
Followed you too. Thanks
John
If you are using your own live voice, at least use a studio microphone as audio is most important on YouTube or any video platform.
Also, ensure your SEO is done properly, you have a killer thumbnail, and a attention-grabbing title.
You are doing awesome, John
I am happy to hear things are starting to move forward for you. Every small step makes you closer to the ultimate goal.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff!
I hope all is going well with your business. I agree, the only way forward is to keep on going. Regardless of the doubt that we all feel at times.
Regards
John
Hey Jeff,
He has got a great plan and content schedule going already. I hope you're having a prosperous week so far!
Hello,
I am having more problems with my website, but support is working on the problems as we speak I hope.
Using RankMath to update my posts, it seems I have not been mentioning my keyword as of as I needed to.
Learning from this plugin
Jeff
Ok, I hope you get the issues sorted soon. RankMath is a great SEO tool, but the paid version is even better for full insights!
Yes, I know.
I did upgrade to the paid version of RankMath.
No word from support on my website yet, tomorrow I will be out so hopefully they have the issues fixed by then
My post page is no longer live for some reason,
Jeff
You should use Jaaxy and/or another great SEO tool to find those golden nugget keywords for your articles so that you can rank in the SERPs. That is the ultimate goal after creating quality content, so that you can get a good number of visitors to your blog articles... And eventually sales.
Thank you much
I have a question for you if you happen to know the answer, since I have RankMath now for SEO should I delete Site Kit?
Jeff
Hey Jeff,
I think you could use both as they have different features. Some of which may overlap a bit. Site Kit provides you analytics and other powerful stuff. You also have AdSense that you could use to place Google ads on your website and earn from that.
