I want to hook up with Amazon as an affiliate site. The problem seems that they want to see that you have a web site on line first. How could I do this if I am getting ready to bui
Amazon won't accept you without a site that has lots of good content. As FHagstrom say, follow the training. :)
If you don''t yet have a site, then there is no reason to join an affiliate program at this point. Just follow the training and Kyle will let you know when it's time for that
Thanks but I think The Grizzly answered my question best by saying browse Amazon first to get ideas what to promote. I did not think I could do this.

Question for picking affiliate site?
I want to hook up with Amazon as an affiliate site. The problem seems that they want to see that you have a web site on line first. How could I do this if I am getting ready to bui
You could always just surf amazon and look for products you want to promote. If you are having trouble determining your niche...Then you could go and build your site designed to promote the products on amazon you like and create a niche / brand around it. I guess what I'm saying is that you could do the research before you get in. Anything you see on amazon you could sell.

What did you do to get the best ideas?
I have not yet found my perfect niche I guess, I'm a beginner and I have just started out with simple stuff, targeting a specific group of people with a common problem. This will help me to learn how to build content, familiarize with keyword research, etc. Then I know that the perfect niche will come out more than I'm involved in this work.
What are you interested in/ passionate about? Go with that or you have the option of promoting WA..

site would I be better off purchasing a .com domain? and if so how do I transfer it to my website I created on wealthy affilliate platform?
Thanks In Advance
Hi John. Most people do purchase their own domain once they go to premium status. Having your own domain is like having a piece of property, it holds a value, and you could even potentially sell it someday if you wanted to.
One of the easiest domain registrars is namecheap.com. They are very fast and they don't try to upsell you extras. Here is the training on purchasing a domain through them, if you choose to do so: Transfer Domain Name DNS from NameCheap to WA
Thanks Michelle for the fast response. Will this link also tell me how to transfer the Domain name from namecheap to the web site I build on this platform?
Just in case, here is Kyle's video as well. The first one will help you get your domain bought and the name servers changed over: Connect NameCheap Domains with WA Hosting
