When the Going Gets Tough

Wherever you are in the world, good Sunday to you! The first week of our 30 day blogging challenge is in the books. If you are participating in the challenge and you are reading this, good for you! I'm glad to have you on board, keep up the good work!

I'd also like to acknowledge all of our fellow Wealthy Affiliates that have been following our progress and cheering us on. Thank you everybody, it really does help to read the encouragement you leave us in your comments.

A very special hat tip goes out to our fine Ambassador Michael (Ultimateless) for his continued efforts in updating and motivating us with his daily posts. He's been the glue that binds us together in this challenge and he deserves a round of applause!

I guess it wouldn't be called a challenge if it wasn't challenging. Life has a habit of getting in the way of our goals sometimes. This is getting more and more apparent to me as the days of this challenge count down. The going has definitely gotten tough.

If you haven't read my post titled Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail, I mention that my biggest weakness is planning my daily posts in advance. While this continues to be a struggle, I'm finding that balancing my work schedule, family life and blogging commitments is an even greater struggle.

I really hope that by the time this challenge is complete, I will have learned a more effective activity management system. Any suggestions?

Finally, it wouldn't be Sunday without some inspiration. I found a great little quote by a man that knows something about adversity. During World War II, he held his country together in the face of insurmountable odds and came out the other side victorious.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Keep digging challengers, we're a quarter of the way there! I'll see you all at the finish line!

As always, thank you for reading this,

John

My hat goes off to you John! You have been instrumental in this whole challenge and we will cross that line together!

Thanks Michael. It's been a wild ride so far, that's for sure.

Give me a J. Give me an O. Give me an H. Give me an N. Go John, GO! You are all awesome! Keep up the good work.

You're something else lol! Thanks for your continued support :)

You're welcome. I applaud all of you for taking this on. And Michael for starting it. I was chicken; but I did promise to cheer you on. Its the least I can do. :)

Very hard to keep on track sometimes as you feel you are banging your head against a brick wall but you know the next day will always be better!

Thank you Paul. Now that you mention it, my head is a little sore :)
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Great post, and recognition to Michael, challenges will teach good work ethics and write experience. by the time you are done with the challenge you will have a habit formed to keep moving forward.

Thanks Mike. I do look forward to this challenge to be over with lol

I understand that one, it gets hard with everyday life plus online work.

Hey John, I could only imagine the challenges you guys are facing with being consistent. I think that sometimes, in reaching a goal, we become too serious. Have fun with it! Maybe you can treat yourself to something every 5 days, or make it a daily thing, after you write. If you want to be a bit tougher on yourself, make a commitment that you won't do "ABC" (which represents something that you like), until you do "XYZ". Does that make sense.

In making a decision to become healthier, instead of just focusing on what I CAN'T eat or do, I also add something I CAN do. So, for this week, I will NOT eat after 8pm, but I WILL get in at least 30min. of walking 4-5x this week.

Hope this helps some way. That you guys took on this challenge is enough to celebrate!

Veronica

I appreciate that Veronica. I use a reward system like the one you describe to get my kids to do their chores and it does seem to help. I don't see why periodically rewarding myself would be a such a bad idea. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Yep, we're never too old for treats! Glad it helped!

Thank you for the inspirational words John.

You're welcome Jeff.

Thanks John and a special thanks to Muchael

Your welcome Dennis.

Anything that is challenging is worth the effort. You should come out stronger at the other side.

Thanks Harvey, I couldn't agree more.

The going is a little too tough for me at the moment but I'm still trying.

Jude, that is an inspiration to me in and of itself. Thank you!
