That Brilliant Idea

What usually happens...
... is I have this brilliant idea for a blog. I will even make a few notes and sometimes write a paragraph or two and then when I get ready to post it the moment has flown so I am not feeling it the same.

I admire all of you with the fancy flying fingers who can keep on knocking these things out regularly. And then there are all these amazing imaginative images to find and process in to make it look good too.

Maybe I just need to make a logo image with a cup of coffee and a $100 bill.

I apologize for all the post reply and thank you comments not recognized not made and follows not followed.

I don't want anyone to think I don't appreciate the follows and support.

Maybe it is counter-intuitive but I feel a little reticent at this point to get the following so big that I can't follow adequately. I try to read all the blogs that land in my inbox at least, it's a compulsion of mine. Admittedly there is a ton of good information put out.

I keep thinking, "That was pretty good, I should comment and/or save it so I can come back to it later when I'm more ready." A lot of the time I'm AFKB reading on the phone or big screen.

A lot of the information is still over my head. It feels like I am progressing, but slowly. I don't want to move to the next lesson until I have actually done it so I can check it off. I have been through several of them multiple times because I haven't done it yet and can't focus enough attention to follow it through.

Dumb it Down

What seems to help me the most is when someone posts something that I am ready to hear and use.

All the posts about encouragement, and efficiency, and positive thinking, and not giving up or not quitting, while often very good and I "mash the like button" it seems like there is a lot of preaching to the choir. A Mutual Admiration Society. Not a bad thing, but not what I think I need right now.

I'm in awe actually, with some of you who can keep posting regularly. I have a hard time coming up with a good paragraph, not to mention a 500 or 1000 word blog that carries meaning that might be useful to someone else here at WA.

I have manged to make 7 posts on my website, and made a ton of notes for a few more, but doing the research and writing good useful content takes time and effort. It doesn't come easy to me.

There's a lot of difference between a head full of random ideas and possibilities, and actually being able research them, organize them, and write them into good keyword content--with images.

It might not be the most helpful and productive thing to compare myself to other blogs in my niche who seem to be doing what I am trying to do a lot better than I can now. But I keep reading a few of them to get a better idea of what and how to incorporate into my program.

I really like the WA format for asking questions. And I have always gotten good helpful answers when ever I could get focused enough to ask for what I wanted or needed to know.

There is a saying that goes, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." By Socrates or one of those really wise guys. This is especially true here at WA. I am kind of a teacher, explainer, helper by nature myself so I appreciate those of you who do that.

I know that there are a lot of WA members who are far enough along to experience a little (or a lot) of success already. It is obvious to them when someone is struggling to grasp the concepts or processes and apply them. It is simple when you know how and very frustrating sometimes when you don't quite get it yet.

Great News

It is fun to get the "Great News" you have been liked or followed, but you can't take that to the bank, which is really why we are here; to be profitable with Affiliate Marketing.

I'm sure a lot of what I have "learned" or read will come back to me when I am ready for it.

I like it in simple steps, like going through the training modules.

What I have learned here already in retrospect has made it a whole lot easier to see through the hype and BS that gets pumped out by a lot of the other programs out there. Programs that might be useful if you already knew what they know. But all that FOMO they peddle is just a distraction we don't need.

I guess what I am getting at, laboriously, is that if I stay focused on what I want to do and allow the specifics to manifest gradually it will happen. And before too long, I will begin to know what questions I need to ask or figure out.

I am looking forward to that defining moment when my success becomes a certainty and not just a possibility.

I am certain now that I am in the right place here at WA to make that happen. I believe there are a lot of others here who feel the same.

Thank you for the support.

I could name a few names specifically but I don't feel that is necessary. It's a collective. You never know just where or from whom that really good idea that makes all the difference will come from.

Hey John, I haven't written that many posts on my website either, just 7 or 8 or maybe I'm working on my 8th one, but I get what you are saying. If I get an idea, I write it down on paper, that way, if I get distracted or lose focus, I can always come back to it and it will be just as I initially had it. You might try that to see if that helps. Also, practice writing blogs here. They don't have to be a certain number of words. Also, I have trouble with images as well. I think this is a trial and error thing for me. I try and error. (lol) I try to use a little humor to cheer one up. If you have any further problems with the writing part, I'll be more than happy to proof read for you. I'm not technically inclined so I can't help you there, but writing is easy for me, now that I've gotten back into it. Anything I can do to help you there.

Have a blessed week

Thank you that is very good of you. I may take you up on that.
My spelling isn't the best but I am pretty good with grammar. ABC doesn't make many recommendations and even a few of them I have to ignore.

I do tend to think better the old fashioned way. With a pen and notebook. So I've been trying more lately to keep them handy to "gaff the idea in the moment" as Earl Nightingale recommends.

I have written a lot of poetry and you have to be a wordsmith to do that effectively.

Bereft

I imagined I would write a line,
or two, of mine
of what I thought,
but I forgot.
I stretched my mind, I racked my brain
to find, again,
that meaning, deep
within my sleep.
No lasting profound trace was left.
I was bereft,
my thought was gone.
The muse moved on.

A little humor is good. I mean, everyone here seems soooo serious sometimes its almost intimidating.

That is very good. Have you thought about poetry being your niche? I know what you mean by everyone being so serious. Follow Uncle Meanie. He keeps everyone laughing. He is a really nice fellow. Everyone is serious because they want to succeed so badly. It's been so long since I worked, that I had forgotten that you are not allowed to joke or have any fun at your job.

Have a blessed week

Do the best you can at your own pace. Don’t worry about others

Great truths
Thank you
Tim

Great post, John. I remember watching Kung-fu, back in the old days and a similar quote. "When you snatch the pebble from my hand, then you will be ready!" which relates to your quote from Socrates!

Jeff

It feels more like catching flies with chopsticks like in The Karate Kid. Then you are ready.
