They say that experience keeps us from making mistakes but we get our experience by making mistakes. You can also get experience by doing things right .
So I try to watch over my experience to see that nothing happens to it. (Just Kidding)

You’re not the only one who’s made mistakes but they’re the only thing that you can truly call your own – Billy Joel
Important to note here, that this only true if you don't try to blame them on someone else. You won't learn anything from it if you won't take responsibility for it.
My Experience
The impetus for this post was the valuable lesson I learned today using the Site Content editor.
I made a post on my website in the website editor. Then I watched again, Kyle s training video on the advantages of using Site Content editor and decided that I really should be using that because of all the other things it does in analytic and tracking etc. So I copied my post from the web page from the published page. It wouldn't copy from the editor. (It needs a "select all")
I pasted it into Site Content and it worked nicely. Then l made some modifications and published it to the web. All good. But now I have 2 of the same page. But it kind of messed up the images and some headlines in the new page.
Then I go to the website and trash the old one. So I go back to SiteContent to try to fix the problems and it won't update from SiteContent. It says to edit you go back to the web Wordpress editor. Wordpress errored out (white page) because I had deleted the pages trying to get SiteContent to republish. For a while it even looked like I'd lost my content, on both pages, on the website but I was finally able to restore from previous draft. Which I had to do because SiteContent already shows it as published. ("Stupid Wordpress, right?")

The editors don't work the same. Blocks were funky. Images were different, some edit options didn't show up. The more I tried to fix it the bigger mess I made of it. I got it working finally on the site, but I didn't get it working in SiteContent. It;s there but it's not published from there.
What I learned the hard way was that the SiteContent editor is a one way ticket to the website. Unless there is something there I missed, you can't edit and update your post from SiteContent after it has been published. The problem with that for me, is that I plan to go back and add content and affiliate links, product links, images, internal links etc, as I get farther into the program.

All the military people will relate to OJT. On the Job Training and "Field Expedience" the ability to make it work one way or another.
Mostly what I know, I have learned from the School of Hard Knocks.
