Using Reddit as a Source of Content Ideas
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post about how useful the website Reddit can be as a source of content ideas.
If you've never used Reddit, it's basically a huge forum that's split up into many 'sub-reddits' that cover just about every topic you can think of.
So no matter what your niche is, there's a great chance that you'll find at least one or more sub reddits to go through.
People post all sorts of things on there, so the benefit of looking through a relevant sub-reddit is that you get to see what real people in your niche are actually talking about.
You get to see the actual words/phrases/questions that people are using and also as every post can be 'up-voted' by other users, you can see what are the hot topics.
What you can do, is make a note of any popular/interesting sounding questions or posts you find and then run them through Jaxxy to see potential search volumes and competition.
If the question was a popular one on Reddit then there's bound to be search volume and if there aren't decent answers already in the Google results, then it must be a great article to write!
If you use Reddit already, or you're going to check it out for the first time, why not let everyone know how you get on!
Best wishes
John

Thanks for sharing this tip. I've never used Reddit before, but I am definitely going to take your advice.

I appreciate this advice, I'm just beginning and need all the ideas I can get!
Another idea which can be helpful is to Google "Your Niche" + "Forum" (changing Your Niche of course to whatever your niche is!)
There's normally forums for every topic, so hopefully with that Google search you can find multiple forums relevant for your site
It's just a way of finding other places where you can learn what people are talking about, what questions they're asking etc.
