Well, simply it is like an airplane wing!

• The design of the propeller is similar.
• In essence, the propeller acts the same way... it creates lift.
• Being vertical that means it "pulls" the airplane forward.
• Engine does the work, turning the propeller, which provides the "lift" or "pull."
• A propeller driven airplane pulls, while a jet "pushes" or "thrusts."
• Wow fly boy... explain how this applies to me?
