We've come a long way Baby!

  • Hard to believe how far we've come!
  • From the simple roadmap to GPS... simply amazing!
  • Now I can leave my house and get turn by turn directions.
  • It will lead me right to the front door of my destination.

Great... what's this got to do with WA?

  • Simply follow the directions.
  • Don't go down deadend alleys!
  • Rules, lessons and guidelines along the WA platform actually work!
  • Should I explore new routes? Yes, but always know where you are.

In my days of flying, navigation was called "dead reckoning."

  • Pilots often wound up dead!
  • We had a map and compas and railroads were called "the iron beam"!
  • Everyday brings something new at WA... technology is moving rapidly.
  • The WA technology is keeping pace and often leading the industry.

Tools! We have an abundance!

Use them!
  • I still am surprised how many people do not use the tools we have here at WA.
  • ABC spell and grammar checker... worthless if you don't us it.
  • Templates for posts and blogs... great tools, but of no value if not used.

We have a great platform. We have great members. We have everything we need to succeed.

Joe

I love the gps, of course I grew up with the gas station maps that were free for the state you were in. We collected many state road maps when I was growing up.
Now I love using gps, not the stand alone devices but Google maps that you can use on your mobile phone. They are not 100% reliable but when I'm travelling on vacation I can hear the voice from my phone say: "There is a speed trap ahead!" and 100% of the time the active speed trap was there! .... not that I would need to know that.... hahaha but it's nice to know anyway!

I have to say the information here at WA is no less amazing...
The techniques are "evergreen" new tools may come along but proper techniques will never be outdated. thanks for this post.

I have to say I don't use the tools but now I am seeing things different by using the tools and learning that step by step is the

Thanks for the reminder, Joe.

I agree, Joe, we have all the tools we need at WA-but some of us don't learn by just watching a video. For one, I have to write down every step, or I will never get it done correctly.
When I travel, I get the directions off the internet, but I would really love to have a good old-fashioned printed map to follow.

The point is though, all the tools are available--modify them for yourself if you must--but use them.

I would be completely lost without modern GPS (no punn intended)!! I no longer waste time in an endless maze of roads and it gives me a boost of confidence when I embark on an unfamiliar journey.

I never thought of the training here at WA as comparable to GPS tools but the concept really is parallel. We have basically been given a map with the shortest route from A to B spelled out for us! Thanks for reminding me of this!!

Best, Shannon

Thanks Shannon. Great reply!
