Get your priorities right!
Do you?
- Plan your day?
- Think through what you need to get done today?
- Are you aware of what is important and not important?
- Begin your day with a pen and paper and a cup of coffee or tea?
- I can't imagine a day without a plan!
- Couldn't think without a "to do" list...
- Including Saturday and Sunday!
- What is the best tool for planning?
- The one that works for you!
- I have tested nearly all of them... expensive is not always the best!
Can I get by with "post it" notes?
- Better than nothing!
- I use a simple "to do" list... FREE version!
- Any of them are good... don't get hung up on a particular kind.
I like Napoleon HIll's quote:
"Plan your work and work your plan."
Pilots are trained to: "Plan your flight and fly your plan."
Do you have a plan? Why or why not?

Hi Joe,
I at minimum have a mental plan for each day. I'm not retired yet so most days are planned for me. ;) I don't set it in concrete though. Maybe I should. I do have a planner that I use but haven't really used it since.. the C word.

So important Joe. Make a plan. I usually have planned the big things the night before. That way they are there when I wake up in the morning. then I put in the timeline. Everybody has to have a plan for the day. Otherwise, you're just staring at the wall. A day is a terrible thing to waste. You never get it back.
Thank you Joe.
At my age I thought I had a plan.
It was not working As I spend too much time hopping from one thing to another.
I have finally commenced a daily plan - & I write it down on paper so it is right in front of me.
More needs to be done, as I refine the plan to make it effective.

Denis, you’re doing it right. An old German saying says; “So soon veh get so old - so late veh get so smart!”
Joe, a lot of fodder for thought in this one little post. I am one of those unfortunate souls (or fortunate, depending on who you talk to) who was born with a learning difference (ADHD) that makes it difficult to break large tasks down to more manageable ones. This is good in some ways because I tend to see the big picture. This is not so good in other ways because the "big picture" oftentimes leaves me immobilized. When you don't know where to start it is easier not to start at all. This is something I am trying to break now but it isn't easy. I spent the first 50 years of my life trying to "fit in" because nobody truly understands attention issues. Now, though, I am though hiding my "light under a bushel", as the saying goes.
You’re doing great. Just keep starting and remember, big problems are just a bunch of little problems when broken down.
