My Progress Thus Far

Hey Wealthy Affiliates, today I'm just going to give a brief insight into my progress thus far here on WA.
After renewing my membership 3x to date, I feel like this is the time I finally take it seriously and fully commit to making a business online.
What happened on my first try was I tried to make a niche website surrounding my passion, but instead of turning the website into a business I designed it to promote my offline business.
This was a bad move, as now I realized I missed the point of the getting started training here. And it was too late for me because I didn't make it far enough in the lessons to make money with my site to pay off the monthly membership fees.
So the second time around I decided to take the Affiliate Bootcamp instead in order to promote WA and start making enough money to cover the monthly charge. However, I was unable to get a single person to join WA as a paid member.

Fast forward to the third renewal and now I'm here, back at my passion but this time I'm determined to make an online business out of it. I redesigned my website to look more like a blog but I don't have the right look I want as yet.
The plan is to buy a membership to Divi this week and create the website I really wanted. In the meantime, I'm just slowly building my audience by posting frequently to the blog.
In fact, I used to post every day until I began reading more of Neil Patel's blogs and I got insight from him about posting quality over quantity and creating "Epic Posts." Which means a post that is long form, 1,000 - 2,000 words, has data and statistics, and really helps your audience, or add some significant value to their life, to the point where they look forward to your posts.
And so my goal has shifted to making 3 long form posts per week that are top notch in quality, and with at least one video per week so that I can cross promote my YouTube channel.
The niche that I'm in is parkour and freerunning, and to be honest it's not as hard as I thought it would be to write consistently on the topic as I've been training for almost 7 years now.
Plus, I've done a lot of keyword research and a have a list of over 20 article ideas. More than enough to last until summer. Especially when I start doing long form posts. I'm just really excited to have my website up and running, and to connect with freerunners world wide.
It's really not about the money for me right now. When the money comes it comes, it'll just be a bonus.
That's it for now Wealthy Affiliates, if you'd like to see my site in the current state you can view it here: https://joekaproductions.com/
