I wrote a post the other day, clicked on the camera icon to add a pic, added it (or so I thought), but it never published the pic. I tried a couple of times but got the same result

When you go to create a blog here at WA open it up you already know where the camera tab to add a photo click on that. When this box comes up you need to click on the browse tab and search for the image you want to use, but it must be no less than 200 pixels X 200 pixels or it will not upload. To find out its pixel hover your cursor over the image and its info will show anything less than 200 pixels do not use unless you take the image back into paint on windows and resize to the proper size then insert. I hope this helps you.

Thanks, Tommy. I will try that and see if it works. Appreciate it!

Actually here is a video I just created because you asked the question.

How To Insert An Image Into My WA Blog

You rock, Tommy! Thank you!!

Thanks Tommy,

Do you have images in the media file if so click on one and hit insert into post.

It was an upload from my site. So I need to upload to a WA media library? Didn't realize there was one. I am not talking about inserting pics into my posts on my site. I'm talking about inserting pics into my WA blog posts via my profile. Thanks!

Jody, I too am having issues with inserting images in a WA blog post. When you start the process, somewhere along the way it mentions the image size requirements. I get that, and have no trouble resizing to fit. My problem is getting an image in the blog post HEADING. I want it to be large there, but I only get the icon size when I go thru the process. Have you had any luck finding info on it? I've tried searching here on WA, but the search needs to be fairly exact to even come close.

Have been in hand to hand combat with my website for awhile and now, I finally see a light. Can I pls get some early feedback on my site? thanks!

www.barkandswagger.com

Yes fixed. Thx.

@kyle thx! I have 2 posts that show up on the front page but when u click the home tab on the menu bar the 404 comes up. Thats what i dont know how to fix.

No for me...did you since fix this? You may have had that page cached in your browser which caused this.

Is definitely fine from my end Jody :)

Home page has a 404 error, so need to fix that. Looking good :)

I know. Do you know how to fix? I can't figure that out. thx.

Looks like you fix it. There actually wasn't anything wrong with it, you just didn't have a post just yet and the homepage was a blog roll. Until you have posts is shows up as a 404. Love where you are heading with your site.

Coming along nicely.

What you are passionate about is visible. Your home page could not b seen, showing error.

thanks! yes I know re Home page. I can't figure out how to get rid of that. Need help on that one.

Looks great for the most part. I'm not sure about the color choice for the bar at the bottom, as it is kind of contrary to the rest of the color scheme (but maybe I'm too picky about stuff I see online). Also, the emphasized words in blue at the bottom look like links due to the color, but they are not. You may want to change them to something else so they aren't confusing unless they are meant to be linked later. Overall, looks really clean though.

Thanks, @Construkt. Appreciate the feedback. I don't know how to get rid of the black bar at the bottom. I'm figuring that's what you're talking about? Would like to do that. same with the red color of the links at the bottom which are menu pages which will have content eventually.

I saw that too but thought maybe she wants to turn them into links later on.

@lanesamarie, thank you! Got it and did it. What a good feeling! Small steps, you know? :-)

It is:)

Woo hoo, Jay Gumbs! I did it! Thank you so much. If everyone explained things as clearly, step by step, as you, I would be in great shape with my site. On the road...you rock.

You did a great job.

Just one thing. You should set your images so that you cannot click through on them. Go to edit image and select "none" for link url.

Thanks Jay! Appreciate that tip and the encouragement. Doing that now! :-)

Jay, one thing (i'll be giving myself away as the total tech yutz I am, LOL). Where would I find edit image? Looking, looking but no seeing...

It's cool. We've all been there.

Follow me now -

Edit Post. Click on the image in the edit window and you'll see two icons appear on top the image. Choose the first one that looks like a picture frame. This should give you a pop up that allows you to edit your image settings.

Look for the field that says Link Url and you should see a long link. Under that link you should see some options starting with "None". Click "None" and the link should disappear. Click update right below that and also click update for the post as well and this should save all your changes.

Click the image in the corner it will appear 2 icons click the picture one it will brings your here http://d.pr/i/4YJJ remove the link at the "Link URL"
