interests and passions
It's my first real summer since I moved to the seaside. (It's great, but my goal is to move into a whole new world within a few years. My priorities lie with quiet and calm surroundings, well-preserved nature, sunny but slightly cool climate. Maybe I'll have to give up the slightly cool climate part.)
These days I am realizing the important difference between interests and passions.
Are there especially profitable niches? Yes, but if they are merely interests for you, you'd always wish you had more time for your passions. I know I would.
If something is neither an interest nor a passion for you, no matter how generally profitable it is for others, it wouldn't feel that much different from a job you hate. That is, if you're able to continue. Enjoyable means sustainable.
