At Wealthy Affiliate, the word credits can mean three different things: AI Credits, Cash Credits, and Community Credits. Each plays a unique role in your growth inside the platform. Knowing the difference will help you use them wisely. Note: I haven't made use of Community Credits for a while. You earn credits when you offer a site feedback or site comment, and you lose them when you request a site comment and site feedback.

Step 1: AI Credits

AI Credits power your AI writing tools inside WA.

How you get them:

• They come included with your membership plan.
• You can also purchase extra AI Credits if you need more.

What they do:

• Help you generate articles, outlines, keywords, and content drafts quickly.

Value:

• Not cashable — they are for AI content creation only.

Example: You want an AI-generated blog draft → you spend AI Credits.

Step 2: Cash Credits

Cash Credits are where real money comes into play.

How you earn them:

• Through the Affiliate Program (referrals upgrading to Premium/Premium Plus).
• Through cash credit opportunities inside WA.
• By purchasing them directly if you need them for services.

Value:

• Each Cash Credit = $0.50 USD.
• They can be cashed out (paid on the 1st of the month if your balance is $10+).
• Or they can be used for things like SiteComments, SiteFeedback, or domains.

Example: You earn 20 Cash Credits → that’s $10 added to your payout balance.

Step 3: Community Credits

Community Credits are all about paying it forward.

How you earn them:

• By participating in give-and-take systems like SiteComments and SiteFeedback.
• Helping others by contributing your time and insights.

Value:

• Do not carry cash value.
• Instead, they build your community reputation and trust.

Example: You give feedback on another member’s site → you earn Community Credits → these boost your standing inside WA, but not your cash payout.

Step 4: Quick Recap

• AI Credits → Fuel your AI writing tools (membership or purchase, not cash).
• Cash Credits → Worth $0.50 each, can be earned, purchased, or paid out.
• Community Credits → Earned by paying it forward, no cash value, but grow your influence.

Pro Tip: Use all three together.
