What Are Community Credits at Wealthy Affiliate?
At Wealthy Affiliate, there are three types of credits: AI Credits, Cash Credits, and Community Credits. While AI and Cash Credits are tied to tools and money, Community Credits are about something different: building trust, giving back, and strengthening your reputation in the WA ecosystem.
Step 1: What Are Community Credits?
Community Credits are Wealthy Affiliate’s way of rewarding you for paying it forward.
They’re earned when you contribute to the give-and-take systems inside WA, like SiteComments and SiteFeedback. In other words, every time you help someone else, you’re not just supporting their growth—you’re building your own standing too.
Step 2: How Do You Earn Community Credits?
By actively participating in:
- SiteComments – leaving thoughtful, engaging comments on another member’s site.
- SiteFeedback – giving constructive feedback on a site’s design, structure, and usability.
Example: You leave a detailed comment on a fellow member’s blog → you earn Community Credits for your contribution.
Step 3: Do Community Credits Have Cash Value?
The short answer is no. Community Credits cannot be converted into money or cashed out like Cash Credits.
Their value lies in something bigger: your reputation and authority within WA.
Step 4: Why Community Credits Matter
Community Credits may not add dollars to your account, but they add something that money can’t buy: trust and visibility.
Here’s why they matter:
- They reflect your willingness to help and be an active part of the community.
- They boost your rank and recognition, making you more visible to other members.
- They encourage a culture of give and take, where everyone benefits from shared knowledge and support.
Step 5: The Bigger Picture
Community Credits aren’t about short-term cash. They’re about long-term influence. The more you give, the more people trust your advice, follow your training, and respect your presence. That trust often translates into stronger relationships, referrals, and opportunities for growth.
Pro Tip: Don’t underestimate Community Credits. Every comment, every feedback, every little act of contribution stacks up—not in dollars, but in credibility. And credibility, in the online business world, often pays off in ways far beyond cash.

Thanks, JD, and this brings us to the end of the short series. It wasn't planned any way, but I'm glad it helps, and the posts shall continue to assist others long after.
Next, I'll be writing about yet another topic as a planned series, connected with this but goes deeper into the things I have learned here over the years.
I first joined the WA in August 2015, and I was a free member (though no access to the community) until December 2024. I deleted my first account only to rejoin two (2) days after, and here we are.
My first impression was to learn how the system works (which I did with the SFI and wrote a book about it; Internet Residual Income), use the system myself, and then share experiences with others on the platform. I am doing just that now a decade later.

I never really understand the importance of community credits until now. Thanks for the explanation and comparison between the different credits available. I rate community credits highly as it rewards people that are making difference in the WA community
Thanks a lot for reading and leaving a comment. All credits have their place, and that's why I took time to understand them by reading articles and watching videos by the founders and those who have been here long before me.
I'm now having access to all video classes as a Premium Plus+ member, something I once thought was impossible to achieve.

yeah John, this article is helpful because it is not easy to distinguish all the type of credits in WA! Well done!
Thanks, Romy. I'm trying to focus on each credit type after tackling them in one group. I do have a series coming up soon as a result of my own research within here of how things really work.
This is my committment from the very beginning, to learn and share experiences with others. That dream is coming true now as I am a yearly member, and possibly as someone who will stay and not quit anymore.

I just hope I can contribute useful comments and not be considered an annoyance. Just tell me when I am being annoying. MAC.
I don't think your comments are near to being annoying at all. Feedback matters to me, even if it might sound negative. I didn't see any negative comments from you as yet. Let me know what I can do better, just in case.
