I am Lost
I've gone to look for myself.

Of all the things I have done, I can't seem to get anything rolling. I know Kyle says that success is not all income and that providing quality content is the key. After writing and writing (30 + articles on Street Articles) and just posting my pillar per Jay. The secret has to be engagement as Kyle points out in his latest training.
Attempting engagement sounds easy, but it keeps looking like much of it can become one sided, or those you are engaging don't like what you like? I'm not sure what the reasons are, I guess I will have to research more of what social engagement is about.
Jay's webinars are helpful, but I can see a lot of his content is way over some heads ( not sure why my G+ will not allow authorship on my Wordpress sites, it keeps giving an error accessing my G+ account even when I am logged in to it?) When I think back to the days when I just cut and paste html on geocities to make my pages and spent hours trying to make them look at least half way ok, this was before google was even heard of. The only way I knew to get ranked then, was to publish the page and hope someone saw it.
I was selling model trains at this time and obviously did not sell much, until I listed them on eBay when it was getting started. The only big sale I had, was for an item I did not stock (I had left it on the website thinking no one would find it anyway). The person bought the item, paid for it and expected it to be shipped. I had a hard time, because he had used Paypal, I had to refund the money to his Paypal account not his credit card. He thought he was getting a refund on his credit card, so after several emails explaining to him how the credit worked he finally figured it out.
I don't want to appear negative, I just am seeing a trend where I create pages (much easier than those old days) and hope someone sees it and maybe piques there interest.
I will still plug away at it, but it still feels like I am spinning my wheels. Anyway just had to get this off my chest. I do not intend this to be a rant just an observation.
