I started learning about Internet marketing probably around the same time as Kyle. I saw the opportunities, I surfed around gathering information, joining bogus systems, spending money on websites and loads of time learning. But all of that failed because I didn't have a clear vision of a niche.

As a result I packed in websites and started others. However each time it failed because of a lack of traffic. I have been blogging for a lot of years, even submitting articles to article websites. My interest soon developed into the area of Personal development, something which I am still interested in, and who knows, may even become a new niche to work with here at WA.

But personal development coaching was not my passion, although I enjoy helping people with what I have learned. Hibernating beneath the surface of my consciousness since I was a child was the desire to write. After writing on a novel for over two years, putting off its importance for other things, which failed to make money, I finally decided to make writing my passion. And I am enjoying that immensely.

It is one thing to write a book, and even self-publish a book, but it is a whole new thing to actually sell the book, which requires marketing, which is why I have discovered WA and joined this active community. Having just signed up as a premium member I have broken my own self instilled taboo of never joining an online marketing company again. Why? Because I see that what is being taught here is not only made simple but it is also helping where it is needed and more.

Although I wasn't actively searching for marketing help I was alerted whenever I saw something that might help me market my books. Another program came to my attention which promised unstoppable success, and although I could tell that these people were successful they never, ever told what their product or service was. This was reserved for those who would sign up. I suspected that what they were selling was simply the program I was noticing in the first place - the success program itself. A little Google searching landed me on a website which confirmed my suspicions. I didn't want to get involved promoting a success system, what I wanted was to promote what I want.

That same website, written by a high ranking WA affiliate member, Christine, also had a great report on Wealthy Affiliate. Although I had probably heard most of it before I felt I needed the support and hand in hand guidance by the experts.

OK, so I've only just set up my first WA website, but I have seen enough and received enough spontaneous offers of help from other members to tell me that this is the right place for me to learn and get the right things done in order to make my niche website a success. Then I will have the practical knowledge to apply in drawing traffic to my book sites.
