Funerals and covid 19 restrictions
Last Update: Apr 30, 2020
Hi Guys, Just wanted to share an amazing story about my small hometown community (3200 people), Covid 19 restrictions and funerals.COMMUNITY IS EVERYTHING
A member of the Corrigin Community (small wheatbelt town West Australia) passed away last week. RIP Kevin.
With the number of people restricted to attend funerals during Social Distancing, someone came up with this idea so people could pay their last respects.
THEY DROVE THE HEARSE AROUND THE TOWN STREETS and people came out onto the streets to say their final farewells.
A route could be advertised in the funeral notice and people could gravitate to the nominated streets on the route.
I felt compelled to share this story to help others to grieve the loss of loved ones and pay their final respects.
With love and respect, Cheers Jill
