Hello everyone!

I signed as a premium a few months. I'm moving little by little forward with my training classes. I'm listening Jay's Life Events every Friday ( almost every). Lately, I discovered that my website needs more and more plugins. I'm wondering, how many plugins you , guys have? How many usually healthy website needs to have? I have 14 plugins. Is it too many or too less?

The number is not relevant. It is how well the plugins play with each other and your theme. Here is a training that should help. I have 25 plugins and my site speeds are excellent (100 desktop, mid 90's mobile).
Just be sure to back up your site before adding or updating plugins and be sure to check your site speed before and after installing a new plugin.

Five is an unrealistic number.

Is your site speed ok?

I'm very fresh in WA so, thanks for the training you gave me. I will check it. I need to do back up because I just updated a couple of them. The question again, how do I do back up? ( this question looks crazy, right? But, I am just learning everything).

There is a plugin called UpdraftPlus that is excellent for backup. Just install it and you can back up your site in 1-2 minutes. Very, very easy to use. I back my sites up first thing every morning.

thank you so much!

No problem. Did you install Updraft?

Yes, I just did. Do I need to restore?

Go ahead and do a backup. 2 clicks and you are done.

done, thank you again.

Depends on what I use the websites for. Some of them are subdomains of the main website and I have just a few plugins as they have a specific use. Those websites have about 4-5 plugins. For the main websites, I use anywhere from 10-15 plugins. Depending on design and functionality.

I currently use 8. I used to use a lot more, but I've found that certain themes or builders like thrive architect and elementor eliminate the need for a lot of them.

While WA encourages the use of only 5 for the sake of site speed, I find that number to be a unrealisitc.

You could probably cut down on a few, but I wouldn't worry about it too muc.

Five is not realistic if you ask me. I have 26 and site speeds are 100 desktop and mid 90's mobile. Just check site speed before and after adding plugins. And always back up before adding any plugins.
