Today's Question:

I'm curious as to who is actually starting to get steady traffic, to their website, as a direct result of the training here?

If you are, please let me know how much, and about how many content posts you're creating, per week, to achieve this?

I'm asking this question because I work full-time, and with all my other commitments, I have only been able to create about 1-2 per week. I'm beginning to think this will not be enough, to get something off the ground.

Adsense:

Like some other WA Members have noted, I have also been turned down by Google Adsense. Let me tell you, I don't blame them; I barely have any traffic!

What's your Advice to Boost Traffic:

I'm all ears. Any advice on boosting traffic, without being able to write a crazy amount of content?

Ads:

I know you have heard the saying, "You need to spend money, to make money!". Does that apply here? Has anyone paid for ads, to boost their traffic? If so, was it worth the ads? Did your traffic stay consistent, over time?

Trying to Stay Positive:

I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm beginning to think that I will never make enough, to cover the membership here. Hopefully, something good happens soon.

Have a Great Weekend!

J.

I, too, have just begin with the last month or so to post regularly once again. My traffic is just beginning to build

It definitely is a challenge when you're working a full-time job to also be able to work on your website. However, there are always ways to increase productivity to get more done in a shorter period of time.

What I did was I took a day of the weekend, either saturday or sunday, and spent 1-2 hours researching what to write about, for 3 different titles/keywords/products.

I broke down each into 4-5 sections and wrote down bullet points of things that I wanted to touch upon. Once done, I leave it and don't even work on it.

Then, during the week, when I have some time, I start to write the article properly. This really saves me a lot of time during the week when it gets really busy, but at least I know all I'm doing is just typing them up. No research needed (or it is very minimal).

I get done typing it up within 1 hour and it takes another 15 minutes or so to optimize it and publish it.

This has really helped me with productivity on my blog.

Additionally, I have also started a Youtube channel. I find that maintaining a YT channel is way less work, especially if you already have a website and want to base the videos on your content. Sometimes, it only takes me 30 minutes to record a video and publish it. I link my video to my website and that brings in more website traffic.

However, I also see that you've only been at WA for 3 months, so if you haven't been able to dedicate much time to your website and online business, then it will definitely take you longer to see results.

I was on and off and really only took things seriously in Month 9 of joining WA and in month 10, I made my first sale. In month 11, I made enough to cover my annual membership and upgraded right away. There was very little profit in my first year.

This is the reality of things but in my opinion, it is best to keep going because giving up is a sure way of FAILING. But if you keep going, no matter how long it takes, you will get there eventually.

Winners kept going even when times were tough. That's the difference between those who succeed and those who don't.

But the rest is up to you. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best.

Thank you for the advice. It's definitely sounds like a good plan, for creating content.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your niche? You must have one that allows for easy creation of videos, for a YouTube channel? I could definitely come up with some ideas for videos, but i'm pretty sure I would have the same traffic issues, with a YouTube Channel.

J.

My niche is about making money online and it is way harder to rank videos/articles in this niche because it is SO competitive. Online business is NEVER easy. In whatever niche, there is going to be hard work, no matter what.

If I could have started over, I would definitely have chosen a different niche.

My website was probably in the Google sandbox for 4-5 months (my posts not getting ranked on page 1 because of high competition), which is why it took me longer than most to start seeing consistent traffic and for me to start seeing money coming in. And I was still paying MONTHLY because I didn't have enough money to go annual.

But from what I see, you're lucky that you were able to go annual pretty much right away. This really gives you one full year to give it your ALL!

A lot of us don't have that luxury and I certainly didn't. There were a lot of times that I wanted to give up but no matter what, I stayed the course. Because I gave it my best, I've been now able to cover my annual fees for two years in a row and still making profits.

I don't really work more than a few hours a week and I'm still able to make hundreds of dollars every month.

Success will come. It just won't be instantly.

Now it scares to me to think that I had thoughts of giving up earlier on. What if I HAD given up? All this wouldn't be possible today.

We all lead busy lives and we all have our own fears and personal problems, but I think where there is a will, there is a way.

If you are able to invest more, I would suggest hiring somebody (a freelancer) to write articles for you to make up for the gap. But obviously, that's up to you.

I've heard about doing that, but how would that work? How would the freelance writer know your niche?

I think Jerry has some training on that here: But in a nutshell, I would look at the samples of those writers in your specific niche. If they can't do it, maybe they can put you in touch with somebody else that they know in their professional world who's in that niche.

But if you really wanted to get professional-like freelance writers, I would take the time to go through Jerry's training. I like typing them up myself so I never have had the need to hire anybody, but he has... :)

That is great advice for everyone. Thanks for this!

I'm in a similar boat as you in being around for about six months but due to health issues can only write about 1-2 blogs per week. Check out blogarama.com. I went premium with them and shelled out $50 for the year and my visitors went from 10 or so to 200 or so - and that's even when I took a month off due to an unexpected accident (my bull gored and threw me twice).

I faithfully post my articles to my FB business page, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter but get VERY little traction from them. I've had some periodic spikes when I advertised on Pinterest or FB but nothing that lead to continuous return visitors. I've also had a ton of people sign up to my blog and follow me from blogarama.

I've never heard of blogorama, but i'm assuming that you were able to link to your website, from there, and that's how you got the increase in traffic?

Did your $50 fee get you more than $50 in sales?

You definitely seem to put more in it, than i'm able to.

So far, no. Tbh, I haven't made a penny yet but I consider this due to my unreliable posting schedule. Yes, Blogarama is like a directory of blogs whose owners connect with them. You can definitely register for free and you WILL notice a difference in post views but with Premium, each new post is put on their front page for a day. Yesterday I posted a pretty good post (if I may say so myself!) and my views shot up to an all-time high of 250 views for THAT article.

Oh, and just another thought - I've only been signed up with Blorarama for 3 months so who knows what may or may not convert in the next 9 months. Here is the article made me aware of them:

Great question I'm interest in the answer as well
