As I continue my journey of learning affiliate marketing, I want to share with you what I am learning thus far. So what is the secret of affiliate marketing and making money online? Keep on reading and allow me to explain.

To provide context, I have been at wealthy affiliate for over one year and have had some frustration as to why I have not seen the same level of success that others are recently seeing.

My point is not to complain. In fact, it is far from it. If anything, I am trying to share the one pitfall of what I did not do that the other people did that caused them to see more success than I did. Its the not so secret secret of affiliate marketing. In fact, its The One Thing that if done, it makes most other tasks completely irrelevant.

That secret is writing content. In fact, there is only so many ways to say this before google penalizes me for duplicating content. Yeah, its that cliche. But its true. From my experience and what I have seen, the more content that you put out there for your audience, the better a chance you have of getting seen through google by visitors.

From February 2017 to Present: organic visitors

From November 14 to January 14 2018: organic visitors

Final words

If you compare the my recent 2 month picture to the all time picture (This site started in February 2017), then you notice that over half of my total all time organic traffic has come within the past two months of writing content. I guess the point I am trying to make is that there is not really a secret to affiliate marketing. If you think there is, then you are honestly just putting more obstacles in front of you that are not necessary. It is simply just about writing with the intent to help others (with some keyword research help of course).

Anyways, I hope I have inspired you to continue putting out more content within your respective niche blogs and let me know if you are experiencing something similar.

Jessie,

Well said! We that over and over again in the videos here, write content that helps someone out and the traffic will come.

Lisa

Write On!!

It all comes down to more and better content!

I agree, quality of content matters as well. If you keep practicing with writing, even a not so good writer will become a great writer.

If we hear it enough, it should start sinking in!
Debbie

And building comments then too I suppose. I wrote for a long time lots of content without much effect.

I totally agree, working on the content is our main task. It was hard for me to start writing but now I can see that my website looks much better and it shown by Google as well.

Thanks for sharing, Jessie. That´s very encouraging. Alan

Excellent, finally the secret is out. HArd work and perseverance is the key to success. Thank you for allowing us to see those results that prove it.

It is a good point. Content is king, that and linking to other posts so your readers, stay longer and thus gain you more trust.
With Grace and Gratitude

Thank you for sharing Jessie, Quick question: on your 2 months of consistenly posting, how many posts did you do in a week?

I think I tried between 1 and 2 a week. Although the last couple months have only 4 posts each a piece. That also stresses my point, if you start ramping up how much content your putting out, maybe 8 to 10 posts a month if I were shooting for a number, the more organic traffic you are going to receive from newer posts as well as posts that you have previously written. I noticed that my results have been getting better in those last 2 months even before the new year because I made a conscious effort recently to write out and publish more content. Both here at WA as well as on my affiliate marketing blog. Hope I answered your question

yes it does. my goal is to get 100 posts on my site by posting 2-3 new ones a week. just started the site 16 days ago and posting my 10th post tomorrow. i'm thinking seeing it through to 100 posts should generate a steady flow of traffic

another question is what tool are you using to measure traffic?

Welcome to WA, Barry! Great work writing 10 posts already. Is that on your own blog/website?

Best,

Jamie

Ive just been looking at analytics

yes thats on my website.
