So how do you promote affiliate links without the use of a website? One alternative to consider is YouTube. In fact, many affiliate marketers here at Wealthy Affiliate are already using YouTube. Here are a few reasons you should use it if you want an alternative to a blog.

It’s free to start

All you need to have in order to start a YouTube channel is a gmail account. If you have one already, then you have a YouTube channel. If you don’t have any gmail accounts, you can go to gmail and create a new account.

The reason for this is because youtube is owned by google which is one of the most used search engines in the world.

SEO process is essentially the same

The process of ranking videos is essentially the same according to people who do YouTube for a living. You need to essentially put your non competitive keywords in the title of your video, your description, and in the tags area. These are keywords that are essentially low hanging fruit and you will have an easier time ranking for them.

No website related costs

As I have mentioned, YouTube is free to join. A website on the other hand has costs. You have to buy a domain name as well as a hosting plan. You will also want things such as an ssl certificate, website email account, etc. This is more money that needs to be spent.

People are starting to watch more videos

There are many statistics that point to more opportunities as a result of YouTube. As an example, 300 hours worth of videos are uploaded every minute to YouTube. 60 percent of people prefer watching YouTube compared to regular TV because of the ability to watch anything at any given time that is convenient. 5 billion videos are watched every day. The fact that 80 percent of views are outside the United States alone is mind blowing to me.

So there is definitely a place for affiliate marketers to make money for free using YouTube.

It is FREE to start with the potential to make money from not only ads but also through affiliate links. It is a fairly simple alternative as all you need is a gmail account as well as a camera.

While there are other ways to make money in affiliate marketing without a website, YouTube is the only method I know that is free. Using landing page builders or auto responders is another option, however, these are services that will need to be paid for. That would defeat the purpose of not spending money.
