1 Year at WA, please learn from me.
So I have been here for a year, and would like to talk about the ups and downs I have had here at Wealthy Affiliate.
Sticking to a program has never been my strong suit, and I think that this is one of the main reasons I have not been as successful as I have wanted to be here. I have made money through Wealthy Affiliate, both through Amazon, and also through the Wealthy Affiliate program itself. However, they were not the original amounts I would have wanted, so after a year I have come back to reevaluate what I have been doing.
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
So here is what is going to change. As I go through the list, take a look at what I am looking to change, and if you are finding yourself doing the same thing, make those changes now!!
1. Write, write, write: From here on, my writing must be constant and frequent; none of these 3 month breaks between articles. While quality articles are good, they do NOT need to absolutely perfect. Quality, and especially quantity both matter.
2. Log in every day, even if it is just for 10 minutes: Keeping up with comments, and connecting with people on the Wealthy Affiliate site is important, the more connections, the more people will go to the site.
3. Speaking of comments!... Comments are content. The more content, the more we can get exposure and ranking on google. I'll be working on getting organic traffic, and if that doesn't pick up enough, then using the Site Comments section here at Wealthy Affiliate.
4. Continuing with the training everyday: So this is a big one. The course was set up to (about) a lesson per day, but I am only on Course 2, Lesson 6, after a whole year. This will definitely change.
5. Last but absolutely not least, Utilizing all that the training has to offer. So going through the training isn't just for shits and giggles (excuse my French), but for us to learn apply to our website. This has to happen as much as possible.
So there it is. Things I have learned that need to happen in the upcoming months. We'll see how they go, and I'll check in with everyone again soon. :)

Hi Jessie, thanks for being honest and upfront with this. Yes, I've been guilty of not writing for months. Sure other "stuff" gets in the way that genuinely needs my attention, but I too could have put the effort in. I know for me too, that I just lost my fizz with my niche, and as soon as the joy of writing was gone about that topic, I was "in trouble". New beginnings, are good for us all from time to time. I wish you well now that you are heading on track again.
Thanks Annie :) it's so important to remember that writing is content, and that's what gets readers to the site. Learning from my mistakes though!
I can resonate with point 4 although I have much more in front than you. I have found that I am trying to post as often as I can, while also concentrating on getting a following. Sometimes though this has resulted in me leaving the course. But I always come back to it.
That's right, I have found it difficult to find a balance. Sometimes I try to sneak in a few moments when I can. But it is difficult as we do have lives while we work on our sites. I am trying to post at least every three days. Also plugging my posts on social media. I feel that this is helping me. If you can do that as well I'm sure that would help you.
