Cali. On Fire!

Hey everyone I hope all is well this evening. for those who don't know me yet my name is Jessica and I live in Fresno Ca. the central valley. those who watch the news already know that we have two big wildfires burning near Yosemite. California has been in a drought for sometime. It's very dry and very hot. It's been over 100 for a week or more, today has been the coolest. The air is so bad if you go outside and take a deep breath your lungs burn and you feel dizzy and your eyes burn. they have been telling people to stay indoors and cooling centers have opened up all over the city. they say if you do have to go out to get a surgical mask from emergency room lobbies dampen it and wear to help filter the air. We've been able to smell the fire for over a week here in Fresno and yesterday I took a shower went outside for 5 mins. my face felt caked with dirt. Went back in and wash my face, the water turn black. 5 mins. thats ash i washed off my face. Water is a big issue right now and has been for sometime and is even a bigger issue for those who live in the mountains, foothills, and farmlands, for them wells started drying up months ago. We had no rain at all this winter, no snowpack in the mountains, which means, No lakes, No Creeks, No river, No water. Now these to fires have taken the last of the water and they are struggling to fight these fires. when you turn your water on we have almost no water pressure day or night and the water never comes out cold only hot. So now the central valley is in need of drinking water and our firefighters who are work so hard to stop these fires and risking their lives for us and our national forest are in need of water gator aid power aid, food, and first aid supplies. they also need more volenteer fire fighters to help fight the fires. any donations can always be made through the Red Cross. I felt a couple drops of rain earlier so hopefully thats a good sign. Will just have to wait and see. thanks everyone who takes the time to read this.
