Exploring the Unknown

I never consider myself a risk taker and usually I like to play it safe. However, the pandemic has been looming over our heads for more than 19 months now and some how I find myself thinking about possibly embarking on an online buisness adventure. The world has changed in the blink of an eye and it changed my mindset.

I said to myself it would be nice to be able to generate a side income away from my typical every day grind at work. It's 12 long hours by the way!

Something kind of buisness adventure that I can do from the comfort of my own home. The thought never left me and sooner than later, I found myself researching online buisnesses. I discovered Wealthy Affliate after scrolling on google. Bam! I was captivated and even though hesitant, I told myself I should atleast try to explore this unknown realm. Despite not being too computer saavy I felt like challenging myself will eventually help me to grow anyways.

I signed up in September 2021 and I have been going through the training. I am encouraged every day to atleast spend an hour minimum each day building this buisness.Some days are more challenging as I try to balance family life and buidling my side buisness with Wealthy Affliate. I can tell you, not once did I feel like I should stop or cannot do this because of how clear and straightforward the training has been. I now have this desire to keep going thanks to this great community. The " task" approach is so motivating because every time I complete a step. I feel so accomplished.

I chose to work on a niche that is close and dear to my heart. I chose 'speech delay in toddlers' as I am currently on this journey right now with my little boys. Choosing a niche that you are passionate about is key because I find it is less stressful creating and building content. I am motivated to share my experience with the world and relate to others who are going through the same process.

I am smiling from ear to ear sometimes to see how far I have come. I feel like I have accomplished alot and I feel successful. I enter a world that I have no idea about but here I am making progress with the support of this amazing community that is rallying around me. Through the simplified training done through videos and text shared by Kyle on how to create a website, I am so grateful I found this opportunity.

My goal in the next 3-6 months is to complete all my training and create a successful website. One that will captivate and inform my audience about speech delay. I would also like to be more active on the Wealthy Affliate platfrom by giving back and sharing my experience on navigating the process.

After all, there will always be some one second guessing themselves if they should explore the unknown and I will be here to say, Yes please go ahead!
