Hi Wealthy Affiliate community,

I am just looking for some clarification about adding an affiliate promotion to my site. Do I research on a product that I reviewed on my

Unless you have your own products or doing the Wealthy Affiliate promotion, you must have a decent amount of posts on your website so that other Affiliate companies can let you promote for them. All the best!

You need a product first, then the affiliate program. But your site needs to have at least 20 posts before applying to get accepted.

It's the other way round. Find a product that you're interested in promoting and that has an affiliate program. Apply to join. If you're accepted, they'll give you an affiliate code.

Then research the problem the product is solving. Write a blog post around that issue and include your affiliate code as a link.

Hi

Your site need be ready before you apply for affiliate programs

You would have written 20 - 30 posts and have some traffic to be able apply for affiliate programs as typically they will check your site for relevance and traffic prior approval.

For Amazon it is 10 - 15 posts. You also would have to make 3 sales in your first 180 days.

Lucrative programs - 40 posts +

Once accepted, they've given you material and special tracking code links you can share on your site.

Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once they do, and in accordance with your affiliation terms and conditions, how commission payouts are tracked and paid. You need to read up how payments are made because different programs follow different rules; some pay by check others via PayPal or straight to your check account.

I would always adhere to your affiliate program terms and conditions.

Hi Janese,
I'm not sure what you mean by promotion.

There are a multitude of affiliate programs.

If you have a product that you reviewed, try doing a search with the name of the company that made that product and add "affiliate program". Some companies have their own and most go through an affiliate network, which you can apply to be an affiliate for all the products.

You will then get an affiliate link, which you can add to your websites and blogs.

Kyle goes through this in detail in lessons 2, 3 and 4 of level 3 of the certification training. Have you gone through the training? This is the best way to learn. Do the training and apply it, one step at a time.

I hope that is helpful.
Stay well and thrive!

Thanks for your response. Yes I have been consistently doing the training but will repeat some of them if necessary to clarify. Just wanted to throw this one out there to make sure I am not misinterpreting what has being asked of me:).

Hi everyone,

I just made some recent changes to the theme of my webite and added new menus and catergories recently. When I logged in today, my website is not reflecting

Hi

I go to Settings > Reading and check that my blog is configured to show latest posts vs a static page.

For menus, you may head to Appearance > Menus.

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

Hope this helps.

Its very amazing and very helpful we can do some basic things for the following link. We use the buttons displayed frequently..

Did you refresh your browser after you made these updates. Make sure you do this, and you may need to clear your cache as well in your browser, as sometimes your browser will cache an old page.

Thank you, problem solved!

Awesome 👍🏾

You may need to clear your cache, as it holds the older version.
Do you know how to do that?
If not, what browser do you use?

Thank you so much!
Problem solved:)
