Commonwealth Games - The Ultimate In Persistence and Commitment
Hi everyone,
I am more than a little distracted from my WA duties this weekend!! We are lucky enough to be hosting the Commonwealth Games on The Gold Coast, Queensland in my home country Australia. To all who are watching WELCOME, the weather is beyond awesome in this beautiful country and we are happy you are here.
Watching all the athletes in their different sports has been inspiring to say the least. The common thread regardless of their chosen sport, is their dogged determination and persistence. Their absolute commitment, from years of training every day, to sacrifices they have to make, the pain and often disappointments, all to achieve their absolute best.
Of course none of this is achievable without the support and commitment of their family and friends, who do the training runs every day, often very early in the morning, offer support and encouragement, all while trying to live their own lives.
These are the qualities required to achieve something GREAT and the GOLD MEDAL is the ultimate reward for staying the course, and working hard.

Take a lesson from the athletes here! To be successful in our Wealthy Affiliate Journey, we need to have determination, persistence and commitment, give absolutely everything you have, even if it leaves you exhausted, and lying on the floor. Take advantage of the support you have here, the journey will be so much easier. THE REWARD, a successful online business, will be so worth all the hard work.

Yes it is great to see them. I hated training in the pool following a black line. Very boring. I joined a Gold Coast surf club more fun in the surf. Only that swimmer that kept beating me in the surf races was an Olympic swimmer.
LOL that's a bit of bad luck. One of my TAFE teacher's had two sons who used to attend swimming club on Friday nights, they never won a race! WHY, cause Ian Thorpe was a member of the same club!! HILARIOUS.
Are you still up on the Gold Coast? Are you going to any events?

No I live in Tenterfield now and retired. We moved from Brisbane 14 years ago as our doctor told my wife to get away from the humidity or she would not live another summer in Brisbane. We rarely go anywhere because of her health. Might have to start lighting the fire at night this week. No humidity just getting cold at night.
Yes, your health is the most important thing for sure. We are in Sydney, still not too bad here, quite hot today. we can manage with just a jumper at night. Take care.
