How to Write a Valuable Content - MY OWN TIPS
So, here I am blogging my very own blog. How's everyone? Hope you're all fine, and making progress with your websites.
A few members, especially the newbies have been asking how they can write good contents for their websites. Some are still anxious about how they can compete with others who are up the ladder in Google search, and have the same niche, etc.
After replying to some of their issues, I thought of collecting everything that I've shared with the discussions. Much as I have been inspired by other great and well-known writers, these are all coming from my own thoughts and my own words.
HOW TO WRITE A VALUABLE CONTENT FOR YOUR NICHE:
1. After picking a niche, ask yourself why do you want to write about it? In short, what is your PURPOSE of picking this niche? Is it to inform, to educate, to compare products, or to share your experience with a certain product? Passion alone will not make your website rank, you need a purpose for your niche.
2. Narrow down your niche on something that you can really discuss with a wide scope of knowledge and integrity.
3. Check your spelling, grammar, and punctuations. A small error can be fatal to your website.
4. Do your own research on how to write, as it will help you build your vocabulary, improve your grammar, and enhance your creativity. Be sure about the proper words that you use, and their usage.
5. Read other's posts/blogs, especially those who have made their marks in blogging/writing. You will always pick up something of value.
6. Long paragraphs are usually abandoned easily by visitors, so learn how to break paragraphs to make your content readable.
7. If your niche is highly competitive, write something that can make your content stand out. Is there something that you think people may need to know more about your topic? Is there a sub-topic or post that you think may make your readers click to it and stay longer (on your website)?
8. Don't linger on your topic, be concise if you have to, without adding too many sentences that are pointless. At the same token, don't make your content too short, so that it becomes uninteresting, dull, and useless.
9. Check your website content every now and then. There may be something you need to change, delete, or improve on.
10. Website that is neat and at the same time attractive, with a theme that is easy to navigate will definitely add points to your content.
Well, I've done it, I've made my own '10 Steps to Writing a Valuable Content'.
Have a wonderful and positive day or night, (depending on where you live).
Cheers,
Jen
