So far so good!
I let out a frustrated sigh. It all sounded well enough. Affiliate marketing, sales funnels, SEO etc. I had spent the last three months sitting through trainings, absorbing, learning. It was clear to me that the future looked bright for online business. I was also clear I wanted to create one. I understood what it was going to take. I was aware that nothing worth it is ever easy.
Defeated, I deleted the email from my "Coach" from the marketing company I had been working with. I did not have the $1000 which I apparently needed to start receiving the access and support for my online business. My stomach turned as I rehearsed in my head how I was going to tell my wife that I was throwing in the towel, $500 later and with nothing but knowledge to show for it.
I lay in bed that night trying to sleep, my head a swirling whirlpool of disappointment and anxiety. I didn't get it. There were so many people who appeared to be successfully living this dream. I was smart, capable and hardworking. If they could do it then why couldn't I? It was then that I decided to shut the door on this dream for the time being.
Six months later, the situations of my life found me a stay at home father. I can't say how pleased I am with my experience thus far. It has been less than a week and not only do I have my website but I have access to mountains of training and am a part of a community of thousands of successful and striving business owners. I feel as if I have found what I was looking for. So far so good!

Well Jeremy, that is quite an experience. Glad you found Wealthy Affiliate (WA). A few of us went through the scam experience and in finding WA, realized immediately the difference.

Congratulations on deciding to stick with WA. I totally understand where you are coming from! I spent 8+ years bouncing from "get rich" scheme to "get rich" scheme. I also spent many nights laying awake in bed beating myself up over the thousands and thousands of dollars I basically gave away to SCAMMERS!! I was devastated several times. Every time we hit a rough patch, I would go online looking for that "magic bullet" that was going to save us. Guess what? There is no magic bullet! I knew that in my head, but my heart kept wanting to believe all of the scammers! I spent years believing that all people are good. My husband would constantly tell me I was being taken advantage of, but I refused to listen.
Then I got cancer. Once again, we were desperate! We were very close to landing on the street. So once again, I hit the internet. But this time, I landed on WA. I like the free trial. After just 5 days I was convinced. However, I did not tell my husband. I just could not disappoint him AGAIN!! So for 5 months, deathly ill from chemo, I crtawled downstairs every night and worked on my sites and training. After 5 months of secrecy, I just could not keep the secret anymore. I blurted out about my websites. I pulled them up on my cellphone---- and I waited. My husband was silent for several minutes. Then he looked at me and said: "WOW! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU BUILT THESE ALL BY YOURSELF!!" I was totally blown away.
Now, we work together on our sites. We have each others backs. We are not making money yet, but I feel we are getting close. My goal is to accomplish that this year (by December 31, 2018). I will settle for just a few hundred dollars a month for now. We just need to survive! Once we can relax, then we can ramp things up.
So hang in there! Set your sights on the stars! You can do this. Believe me, if I can do it, you definitely can do it! I am 65 years young and dumber than dirt when it comes to technical things. But I have managed to get through the training! See! You can do it! Take Care, and if you need help, just reach out!
P.S. Your child/children are lucky you can stay home and take care of them. Just think how you will feel when you are also bringing in an income?? I hope your wife will support you. It makes things so much easier!
Thank you so much. It is encouraging to hear stories like yours. It sounds like you have fought through alot. Its too funny, I actually have decided to keep this secret as well. My wife knows I am up to something but I refuse to tell anyone outside of this community what I am doing. It's great to hear there are those who can relate.
