Solid wood vs partical board covered veneer
Just wanted to share my progress so far. Thinking of a niche wasn't too hard for me as I love woodworking. It is a hobby right now and I thought I might be able to turn it into some good income. I'm hoping I can use this as another tool to generate traffic. Thank you all for the help so far.
In woodworking, I have experienced many people do not want to pay for the expense of solid wood and tend to pay for cheap covered particle board veneer. These cheap veneer items are machine made and don't have the man-hours of solid handcrafted wood.
I hope my niche isn't directed more toward the hobbiest and not get traffic of people looking for quality items.
This picture is a shadow box I built for a friends father that retired for the military. It cost me $100 just to make it. It will hold a full size flag and is shown still in the plastic wrap so it's a little wrinkled inside.

Remember, you don't need huge numbers to be successful in a niche such as yours. Instead you need loyal followers, ones who will buy the products you recommend. There are plenty of quality woodworking students out there, don't worry!
Hi Jeffrey- I believe we must all follow our passion and the money will follow. /down the track, you may want an e-commerce store or you may want to market woodworking tools. your niche is great and I wish you success on your journey

Thank you for the encouragement. I have an etsy store where I've sold a handful of things.
