But one of the most testing experiences I've faced recently is the deafening silence from an affiliate network I applied to and being turned down (I just found out this morning) . Here's a rundown of my frustrating journey:
The Initial Excitement
When I first stumbled upon this affiliate network, I was brimming with excitement. One product (maybe more eventually) aligned perfectly with my niche, and I could already envision the value I could bring to my audience while also monetizing my platform. With high hopes, I meticulously filled out their application, ensuring every detail was accurate and reflective of my dedication.
The Waiting Begins
After hitting the 'submit' button, I was greeted with the standard "We'll get back to you" message. Understandable, I thought. They must receive a plethora of applications daily. I marked my calendar, giving them the benefit of the doubt for a reasonable response time.
Days Turn into Weeks
As days turned into weeks (I think I have attempted twice with ShareASale) my initial excitement began to wane. I checked my inbox religiously, hoping for any form of communication. Yet, all I found were promotional emails and the occasional newsletter, none of which addressed my application status.
Reflections on the Experience
This experience has been a stark reminder of the importance of communication in the business world. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way in maintaining a positive impression of the network. It's frustrating to invest time and effort into an application, only to be met with silence.

Hi - if it was weeks ago when you applied, I doubt you would have enough content at that time to be approved.
I would suggest at least 15 posts, and for those posts to be indexed too.
Some affiliate programs also check the traffic you are receiving over some time, hence why it could take longer.
Having a lot of content and daily traffic shows that your website has enough interest to attract potential customers, otherwise, why would they work with you, if you couldn't bring sales?
I am in the same boat right now with the waiting game, so I understand the frustration like you mentioned with putting in so much effort and ensuring the application was perfect, only to be put on the back burner. But brighter days will prevail for you and everyone.
