How To Use Twitter For Beginners
Since Twitter is my most productive business page I decided to provide you a tutorial, I notice I don't see many of you on Twitter. I do notice that many of you are using Facebook regularly, but are you receiving the traffic and sales that you could be from Twitter? I am hoping if you don't have a business page on Twitter you will start one after reading this tutorial, you will learn how this can increase your traffic and sales quicker than any other business page you could have.
Start Following Business Pages
Once you get your business page set up and ready to start posting your blog posts and affiliate links you are ready to start following business pages, you notice I included affiliate links because this is allowed on Twitter which is not allowed on Facebook. You want to begin following business pages you are promoting first, so if you are promoting Amazon or eBay those are the first pages you will want to be following. Warning you want to be careful how many pages you follow especially when you first start out, so I suggest you just follow the affiliate programs you are promoting to get started. If you start following every business page you will be banned from being able to follow any pages for a specific amount of time, and this is enforced more severely with new business pages just starting on Twitter.
Blog Posts & Affiliate Links
The main reason you can start earning income from your posts is because you can post your affiliate links along with your blog posts, and as with Facebook you are limited to your blog posts which does not receive nearly as much traffic as your affiliate links will. Now you want to be careful and spread out your posts, so what I usually do that works well for me is I post 3-5 posts and then I like, retweet, and retweet with comments on other business pages posts. Whenever you do it this way Twitter does not see you as spamming, and they won't take your posting rights from you.
Liking Business Pages
I recommend you like business pages with posts you find interesting which are not in your business niche, you will be forming relationships with other business owners by liking their page despite they are not in your business niche.
Retweeting Business Pages
You will want to start retweeting business pages in your business niche, you will receive more retweets from pages in your niche which their followers could become potential customers. You will also want to gradually follow the pages in your niche that are the most active, so by paying attention to which pages are active on Twitter in your niche are the pages you want to start to follow. Retweeting is nothing but sharing their posts, but when you follow a page their posts will be seen on your page, and most of the time they will follow you back. The reason for this is you both are promoting the same niche, but chances are you both don't have all the same followers. This will put your blog posts and affiliate links in front of more people, and the more people who see your posts the more traffic and sales you are going to receive.
Retweeting With A Comment
When you click on the retweet link you will see there is another link that will allow you to retweet the post plus leave a comment, and this is a very powerful strategy you want to be using for the pages that are promoting your posts the most. You will want to use our new friend the @ symbol in your comments to mention the page you are retweeting with your comment, and you will find only the more experienced business pages are using this strategy the most. Again you want to use #hashtags for keywords in your comments just like you want to use them in your posts as well.
Basic Twitter Strategy For Beginners
This is the basic beginners' strategy on how to use Twitter, but my next tutorial will be sharing with you some more advanced strategies you can use to get even more traffic and sales. I hope this gives you a good guide you can follow to get started, and I do recommend you add Twitter to your business traffic and sales strategy.
How Much Can You Earn From Twitter
I am sure many of you are wondering if Twitter is really worth your time, so I can tell you for a fact I am earning more than enough income just from promoting my business on Twitter to be well worth my time. I started experiencing more traffic almost right away once I started getting followers, I am now earning most months between 500.00 to 1000.00 just from this one business page. You will have to experiment to find what affiliate products are in most demand from your followers, but once you find what your followers are interested in purchasing from you the sales will start to increase gradually as you keep adding more followers.
Business Pages Following You
At first the majority of the business pages that follow you are going to be niche-related, but as you become more active you are going to start receiving followers outside of your niche. I have followers from almost every business niche now, and this is something you will have to decide if you are going to follow them back or not? What I do is I follow the pages that are following me that are promoting my posts the most, and you do have to be selective since Twitter will block you from being able to follow new pages after you follow so many each year. You do have a limit on how many pages you can follow each year, so you should follow other members from this community and pages that are active for the most success.
How People & Pages Finds You
How many people and pages finds you the quickest is how well you use your #hashtags and symbol to mention other pages, if you are promoting a mountain bike from Amazon or eBay and you use the hashtag #mountain bikes people and business pages that type in the search box or have mountain bikes as an interest are going to see your post. We will get into this in more detail how this works in my next tutorial on Twitter, but for now I just wanted you to all know it is important to choose your hashtags carefully for the right people to see your post.
What Is On My Mind
I do hope most of you are finding this tutorial not only helpful, but actually interesting to learn how this all works. I feel you need to have a basic understanding how it works to be able to use these strategies the most effectively. You must be smart when using any of your business pages, and you will learn more and more how to use all your business pages from my tutorials for the most traffic and sales without getting yourself into trouble. For those of you just starting out these tutorials should save you time and prevent you from being banned as I was for misusing them.

What link do you use to advertise on Twitter. I tried it a couple of times and didn't succeed. IS is one of the Affiliate links in the corner right $ ?
You will need to give Twitter some time to get enough followers before you will start to experience traffic and sales to your website and affiliate programs, you just post your affiliate links and blog post links in the Twitter tweet box, write a short description with hashtags for keywords people might use on Twitter when searching for products, blog posts, and information and add your Twitter business page with the @symbol or the business page you are retweeting.

Thanks for that Jeffrey I have started getting my head around and using pinterst but for some reason still really struggle with twitter. I will be taking this all on board and giving it a go.
I understand I never really put much effort into Twitter myself until the past year, and when I started using the strategies in this tutorial my traffic and sales started to improve.
It does take time, but it will work for you

That is a good basic starter, I agree with all those tips Jeff.
Twitter has always been my best producer for sales for my original business.
Just need to set up regular tweets for my websites here too.
Another tip: If someone follows you and they are following very few, then don't bother to follow them back. Within hours or days they will unfollow.
There are quite a few idiots like that.

You should consider your followers carefully and at first, I suggest you go with the affiliate programs you are promoting since you can be pretty sure they are going to have lots of followers that are going to benefit you.
