Must I OPEN a Affiliate website or do we as Wealthy Affiliate member already have the opportunity to do so?

@Mangwin got you. You can promote using the affiliate links and banners in the ($) icon at the top menu, using existing or new website. Your choice.
Maybe the following will help. You can already promote WA and earn commission.
To build a WA business, take the Affiliate Bootcamp training.
To promote without your website, you will need to decide how you are going to promote it first, eg. email or facebook. Then you write email and/or post and share the link. You can also share the blogs here in WA with others with the "Affiliate" button on top of the post.
As a Premium member you can build 25 top level domains and 25 free domains so thats 50 websites you can have! But there isn't one already created for you. You will have to do this through the website link in your dashboard.
There are Wealthy Affiliate links and banner you can find under the $ sign in the top right of the home page here, you can use these in any website that you build, it doesn't have to be specific to Affiliate Marketing.

As a Premium member, you have access to SiteRubix. This is the menu where you'll start creating your website, in order to promote Wealthy Affiliate.
The best way to learn affiliate marketing is to follow the training offered here. You have 2 choices to start learning with. Online Entrepreneur Certification or Wealthy Affiliate bootcamp. Very first thing - Familiarize yourself with the WA platform.
On the upper right hand side of your screen (top right) you'll see "Learn About Wa". Click on that link and you'll get a tour of and a complete overview of the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
When you're finished with that, go and start your training. There's a lot of information here. Try not to get too overwhelmed with all of the information. Just go through each training module step by step.
Click on the Training button in the left menu. All the modules are there. If you have any questions about the training please leave me a message on my profile page and I'll try to help you as much as I can.
You can also reach out to Kyle, or just about anyone else here for help. We also have access to live chat. Another great place to get answers quickly.

Cannot go to SoteRubix platform?
You can access everything to do with your website by clicking the website tab on the left. That's where you will see the Site Feedback as well as the Site Comments tabs. Click Site Feedback and then you have the option of offering feedback or requesting feedback.
