How To Get More Followers Twitter

Some members have contacted me they have used Twitter from time to time for their business, but they are not receiving followers. Here are some tips for you to check over and see if you need to add or change how you are using Twitter for your business.

Twitter Bio Tips

You will want a short description what you and your business is about, and be sure to use hashtags with popular keywords for your niche. This will attract people and other business owners interested in your niche, and be sure to add your website link.

Tweeting

What you want to do with your tweets or posts is to make them interesting but short focusing on adding a few hashtag keywords, and hashtags are your best strategy for more people to see your posts that are interested in following you.

Retweeting

Retweeting is nothing more than sharing other tweets on your Twitter page, I would start out sharing other business owners posts in your niche to get them to follow your page. You then will want to follow them back, and this is a powerful strategy since the pages your posts will be seen on will reach more people interested in your niche.

Responding To Retweets

Now anyone who shares your posts you want to return the favor, and this can form a business relationship that can lead to more followers from that person's page. When you retweet a page it will be seen on your page, and your page will be seen on their page when you both are sharing back and forth regularly.

Images Are Not An Option

Images will catch people's attention to click on your post or share it, and both of these will lead to more followers. You can find free images online on Unsplash and Pixaby, but you can also just copy and paste your image on Twitter from your blog posts. Again choose your images carefully in your blog posts and on all your business pages, how unique and interesting your imagine is can be the sole reason people are attracted to your Tweet.

Twitter Notifications

On the left side of your business page you should see a menu, and the third one down the menu should be notifications.This is your next advanced Twitter strategy which is going get your more followers faster than any other free way, you can see everyone who has supported your page in one way or another. What you want to do is use your notifications to return favors of the people who has supported you, and as time goes by you are going to notice who are the most active and supportive. This is your first step to getting more followers and more exposure to your tweets, and you can't return everyone's favor but you can return the favors of the people who are the most active on your notifications whenever you are on Twitter.

Mentoring People & Pages

One of the most powerful strategies I use on Twitter is mentioning people who retweet my tweets the most often, and how you do this is click on them in your notifications and it will take you to their page. You will want to do this for everyone who supports you to return the favor, but I am always sure to leave a comment with a mention and hashtag for the people who retweet my posts.

You will go on one of their own posts not one of their retweets, and they click on retweet and you will see retweet with comment. This is how you comment to people on Twitter, you then want to type them a short comment such as Thank you for sharing @pagename and use a keyword when you can with your @name at the end.

Thank your for retweeting my post @nomorebellyfat and your #weightlosstips sound amazing and I am going to be following you

What Happens Next

The reason this is so powerful is it not only appears on their page and your page, but everyone who is following them or following your hashtag keyword also will see your comment. This will surprise you how many followers and support you are going to get right away, see everyone sees you are mentioning people who follow and retweet your posts and they want to be one of your followers to get more exposure as well.

Another Option

With notifications you can either click on the page profile pic that takes you to their page, but you also have the option to do this directly from your notifications page. This allows you to return the favors much quicker saving you time, I usually use this option unless it is a page I want to see some of their posts to see who is following their pages for new pages to add to possibly following me.

When You Have To Go On Their Page

You will see some people will be in groups in your notifications, you then will need to click on their photo to go to their page to return their favors. I usually scroll down and do everyone I can do on my notifications page first, and then if I had the time I will do some people I have to visit their page last.
