It Was A Lazy Sunday-A Day Of Rest As It Was Originally Intended To Be!

Sunday was a WONDERFUL day as is evidenced by the title image taken from my "thinking deck" yesterday morning! The rapid events of my weekend caused me to sleep an hour longer and I woke up somewhat refreshed.

After morning coffee, I dove into Wealthy Affiliate, doing my normal morning routine within the Wealthy Affiliate community. I spent a couple or three hours there perusing, studying, and answering. Of course, my new assistant in writing, Tig-Tig, was right there beside me on the bed watching while I typed and occasionally offering a helpful MEOW.

With her assistance, I quickly riffled of a few more pages in one of my latest book projects. This went on for another half hour or so.

Finally, it was time to join my sister-in-law and two neighbors who volunteered to help to get the Jeep Cherokee belonging to my step-daughter pushed down the block a little to have the new power steering pump installed.

In the evening, this was the finished product--all ready to go--done and dusted as they say!

Of course, during this endeavor, my job was to "assist" by standing around--trying to "stay out of the way"--with a beer in my hand, as well as assisting the more learned neighbors by assuring that they had a tool needed when requested, and more importantly, a cold one in hand when necessary since the day reached into the upper 90s.

After all this, I rode the motorcycle back to the eBay house and put it away in the garage, whereupon, I took care of a couple of quick chores there before returning home for the evening.

Upon returning home, it was time for hamburgers on the grill and some drinks across the street at my sister-in-law's house with her and Monica. The kids were at the house doing what kids do while we adults chatted. While sitting on her patio, I snapped a picture of a Robin which had just jumped down from the bird bath.

It was certainly a sight to see, especially since it was so close to where we were sitting and seemed to be not bothered in the slightest by our presence it its domain.

We stayed and enjoyed the cooling evening temperatures before returning across the street to our house.

I truly love the community we live in, since many of the neighbors are families of other neighbors, brothers in -laws, sisters-in-laws, etc.

It makes for a very friendly atmosphere and a sense of community. Not at all unlike the sense of community experienced here in Wealthy Affiliate!

Upon our return to the house, we discovered the kids were in their rooms doing what kids do, and the Blog Dogs were also taking advantage of Sunday for what it was originally intended to be for--a day of rest!

I should have no excuse at all this early Monday morning as I type this to be tired or not ready for the new week! On the contrary this past very relaxing weekend is just what the doctor ordered!

EVERYONE HERE IN WEALTHY AFFILIATE ENJOY YOUR NEW WEEK AND MAKE THE MOST OF IT, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME, TAKING MOMENTS TO STOP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!

Everyone needs some downtime Jeff.
And a good weekend was had by all.
Today however... different story...
British Gas has decided that today would be a good day to dig up and lay new pipes right outside my front gate. The noise was bad enough, add to that Jack (the furry family member) barking at every noise and movement.
Just about drove me CRAZY...🤬🤯
Still tomorrow is another day.

Best wishes and stay safe.
Gaz

Wow, Gaz! I can only imagine! You're right, maybe tomorrow will be different and they will get the work finished!

Jeff

Hey thanks for sharing, great pics and lovely cat! My cat Walter is getting jealous. I love it when creatures just pop by and spend time with us, lovely to have nature on the doorstep.

Aww I did 14,00 steps on Sunday so a nice walk and a break away from the computer. Have a fantastic well deserved productive week! One article done and dusted for me this Monday morning after a good bit of research and planning at the weekend. Phil

Sounds extremely productive, Phil, especially that exercise! It's good for the body and soul!

Enjoy your new week!

Jeff

Hey, I'm pretty good at "assisting" like that. Do you need an assistant?

We usually have plenty of beer, Neil, so come on up any time you want, my friend! There can never be too many "assistants"!

Jeff

Good on you Jeff. Your Sunday sounds lovely. Best of luck for this week.
Carol

Thanks, Carol, it was! Enjoy your new week, my friend!

Jeff

How great that you manage to combine work with family time especially on Sundays.

Very true, Nellya! Those opportunities don't present themselves very often, but I'm glad I reached out and took the chance this time around!

Enjoy your new week!

Jeff
