Success- Work From Home Routine
Hello WA Family
Another day on Wealthy Affiliate to build our websites and grow our online business. Let us talk today about a work-from-home routine. Your routine is a very important part of being successful. I have some things you can think about to form your routine.
- Activities like training, website building, content creation, social media engagement, and community interaction are some things you might want to consider.
- Being flexible for unexpected tasks that might come up from time to time is also very important to consider.
- Break down projects into small steps to prevent being overwhelmed. Prioritize what you need and want to accomplish each day.
- Trello or Evernote are good tools to consider for staying organized.
- Choosing a quiet part of your home for a workspace will provide you with fewer distractions.
- Turn off your phone so as not to be disturbed. Add email checks during frequent breaks. Avoid multitasking social media and your tasks to be more productive and efficient.
- Include short periods of social media and stick to a specific time frame.
- Working in 25-minute bursts with short breaks can help maintain focus and prevent burnout.
- Take walks during your short breaks and do stretches frequently
- Join live chat sessions, participate in forums, and network with other Wealthy Affiliate members. Sharing can boost motivation and provide valuable insights.
- Treat yourself to short breaks and small rewards.
Focus on a routine that will provide you with the most productivity in the shortest time. Time management is an extremely important skill to learn when you are working from home.
Common Distractions
Now let us consider what are some common distractions to avoid when working from home.
- Social Media can become a problem for many people working from home. Setting specific times to check social media works best for most people.
- Background noise can be distracting for some people especially while working on complex tasks.
- Consider doing household chores during designated breaks or at the end of your workday. Combining your business tasks and personal tasks can decrease productivity.
- Be sure to let your family know about your work hours.
Don't be afraid to experiment until you find the best routine that works for you. This is extremely important when working from home in this type of business.

Thanks for the tips, Jeff!
I work fulltime as the general manager of a cabinet shop, so finding time each day can be a challenge. Getting into a routine in the evenings is critical for me to accomplish tasks.
Thanks again!
Tim
Hello, Tim
If you are working part-time an effective routine is even more important for you to accomplish as much as you can with what time you have
You can do this

Hello, Rod
I am following you now. Take your time learning at your own pace. Too much information too soon can sabotage your success.
Jeff
Working from home is not easy. I get distracted very easily. So, staying organized and focus is paramount.

Distraction is super easy online
Jeff
Yep, I try to finish my my tasks early but I only get about 2-3 hrs max to work on my business
Hello Nadia
With 2-3 hours you must focus on what are priorities and doing them first might help you achieve more in a shorter time.
Time management tools and software might be something you want to check into. Some of them are free to use
Jeff
Hello Nadia

Jeff

It is not how many hours you have, but how you use those hours to be as productive as you can
