Here's how you can identify high-value keywords your target audience is searching for content creation strategy

Content Goals and Target Audience

• What do you want to achieve with your content?
• Is it brand awareness, lead generation, website traffic, or sales?
• Who are you creating content for?
• Understanding their demographics, interests, problems, and online behavior is crucial.

Next, I am going to help you understand how to research for keywords the way that I do for my website(s).

Brainstorm Keywords

• Start with broad keywords related to your niche.
• Use free and paid tools like Jaaxy, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush to discover related keywords, search volume, and, competition level
• I aim for competition under 20 when possible and no more than 30 with a new website.
• As for traffic, I take whatever I can get without too much concern. Every little bit adds up, so I don't dwell too much on the amount of traffic.
• See what keywords your competitors rank for using tools like SEMrush or analyzing their content.

High-Value Keywords

• Consider keywords with a decent search volume but not necessarily the highest. Super high-volume keywords most of the time will be super competitive.
• Ensure the keywords are highly relevant to your target audience and content.
• Are people looking for information, trying to buy something, or something else?
• Explore long-tail keywords more specific phrases that typically have lower competition and higher conversion rates are what I look for.

By following these steps, you'll uncover high-value keywords that resonate with your target audience.

Earning high-quality backlinks is a powerful SEO strategy to improve your website's authority and search ranking.

Here are some effective ways to achieve this

Skyscraper Content

• Identify existing high-performing content in your niche and create something even more comprehensive, valuable, and data-driven.

Ultimate Guides

• Write informative guides that establish your expertise and become a go-to resource for readers.

Link-worthy Formats

• Studies, surveys, original data, and infographics are often shared and linked to by other websites.

Find Relevant Blogs

• Identify high-authority websites within your niche that accept guest posts.

Contribute Valuable Content

• Create guest posts that align with the target blog's audience and editorial style, offering valuable insights and linking back to relevant content on your site.

• Guest blogging isn't just about links. It's about building relationships with other influencers in your niche who can amplify your content reach.

• Find outdated, broken-link resources in your niche and recreate the content with a fresh perspective.
• Reach out to websites linking to the old resource suggesting yours as a replacement.

Turn Brand Mentions into Backlinks

• Monitor online mentions of your brand (without links) and reach out to those websites requesting a backlink.

Quality over Quantity

• Focus on acquiring backlinks from high-authority, relevant websites.
• A few high-quality backlinks are more valuable than many low-quality ones.
• Don't engage in manipulative practices to acquire backlinks. Google penalizes such tactics.
• Building genuine relationships with influencers in your niche can lead to organic link opportunities.
